boost hungry and the forced induction people wont help :(
Ok well I've sat here with my bowl of pop corn and 3 cans of 7-up and have gotten pretty much no where. so know i come back to you guys but am hoping i can get an answer instead of search because I've done that for a good bit of time! so here it goes:
Well I was bitten by the boost bug and want to go turbo and I have read all the home made kit write ups and then the buy the kit complete write ups and i think I am swinging to the home made.. so i know all the parts and the fact that i need fuel management duh but have also read the stock ecu can only produce enough fuel for a 1-2psi boost. So then i later read that there is hondata(to much for me) urbendata(sp) and i can just get a chipped ecu. Now i have a 99' d16y8 engine in my civic and it is an obd2 and i have emissions in IL and the fact is that they plug something into your computer to read all your codes off and that’s how you pass. But my question is with an obd1 ecu can i still pass emissions when they go plug there code reader in? Second my question is that i had a friend that had a swapped hatch with a turbo set up and just upgraded his fuel pump and had a fmu along with a vtec controller. Will that be enough for me just running 6psi of boost? I need some help here so i can get a nice set up stuck on my car and would appreciate any help i can get Thanks!!

VAFC will work just fine. Also as long as you do everything good you wont throw a code.
