Default CATALYTIC CONVERTER HELP.......QUICK PLEASE :)

Ok, i can unbolt the cat, but how the hell do I get the o2 sensor off? the sheild thing is too much in the way to use a wrench, and I dont wanna damage the wires. I am under it with jackstands so there not much room to move around.

Ne suggestions?

thanx

Take off the cat. If necessary, remove the heat shield.

Yeah disconnect the o2 sensor before trying to remove it from the cat. Take off the cat then once you have it all off then you can take off the o2 sensor at your leisure and you'll have a whole lot more room to work with.

take off the shield/ cat first, then it'll be easy.

There is also a special socket intended for O2 sensors that makes the job a lot easier.
