Default Ok, oil return question, not the usual, just very quick question.

So I did a search to see what the parts for the earl's fittings oil return lines were, found them and ordered the parts. Now there was a part that arturbo listed as something that was needed, which is the oil drain flange from turbonetics or majestic turbo. Now My drag kit came with an oil drain flange (it's on car now with drag's so called oil return poo poos) Now my question is, what is different about the oil drain flange that comes with the drag kit, and the oil drain flange that just arrived at my door from turbonetics?

i'm not sure what comes w/ the drag oil drain line, but you only need the turbonetics oil drain flange so that you can attach your earl's fitting to your turbo. if you already have a 1/2" female pipe thread flange, then you dont need the one from turbonetics.

yup. The flange that you can buy from turbonetics or majestic ( i got mine from max rev), it is just a flange with female 1/2'' NPT threads so you can securely attatch an AN SS tube to it. I was under the impression that a drag kit just came with a flange that had a barb type thing on it or something...not sure buy you get the point.

Drag comes with the 1/2" female NPT flange.. and also a 1/2" NPT male brass barb "thing" that threads into it

So does that mean they are the same? I am kinda confused now, since I thought I ordered the 1/2 female npt flange. When you did yours did you used the flange that came with the kit?

Just to add what you need for the oil return:

You need
1/2 to a -10 fitting ( http://www.bakerprecision.com/adapt1.htm ) Part #FCM2009

-10 45deg. swivel fitting(you need two of these) http://www.bakerprecision.com/earls2.htm (part#804610)

-10 stainless steel hose. http://www.bakerprecision.com/earls1.htm (you need about a ft of this)

5/8" brass flare to flare union(PN A-350 from home depot)You would weld this in the oil pan.

I had already ordered everything about a week ago, I guess I should have asked my origanal question back then. Oh well, at least the flange I ordered (billet) is better quality then the one I have (even if it's not that big aof a difference, just let me think it is so I don't feel like an idiot for ordering something I already have)
