Man, I hate to sound like an *******, but search for cryin out loud. This **** has been covered a million times a year since the car was produced. Even owner feedback is to be found.

Im sick and bored so I might as well offer some input. I had it for about a year when I first bought the ITR. DD with it is fine, I can't remember exactly what it was at 80, but thats been covered alot if you search.

My biggest thing is that if your making over like 200whp, I prefer the USDM FD. With the JDM I had no traction in first or second gear at 189 whp. However, the caR does feel ***** out and torquey as hell with the JDM....great for tracking.

What are your intentions? Just DD?

Dang no traction in first and second? Maybe you need better tires or motor mounts =P.

My rpm is around 5k at around 80 mph. Pretty annoying if you ask me, can't imagine how the 4.9 is! If you don't do 80, it should be no problem! Instructor at thunderhill said it seemed as if I was running out of revs on the main straightaway in 4th!

I had the 4.785 FD set in my EM1 SiR and slap it on to my bro's hatch before I sold my car.

I was running abt 4100rpm @ 120kph as I remember correctly(**** haven't drive that for too long & really miss it). Not bad at all imo. It feels like two different car with the 4.7 FD set!

Again I can totally feel that difference after I exchanged my tranny with my bro's J4D 96spec tranny. I just hated the J4D setup!

Yah fawking n00b, I don't live that far away from you know...

I put the JDM 4.785 FD with the intentions of still being able to daily it on the highway, but I was wrong. The RPMs are too high for me on a USDM ITR gearing with the 4.785 FD. Crusing in VTEC with the SMSP exhaust humming and the car rattling from the Hasport / Jim Fab mounts sucks.

Now that I can't really daily drive on the highway, I wish I would of gotten an ATS 4.92.

Well over 200whp? Oh yeah?!?!

Ask Mark, no 1st or 2nd on Falken Azenis RT-215's...

Like I told you before, big difference compared to the 4.4 in terms of acceleration.

Grow a pair and run a 4.9 Driving 30mph in 5th is easy...

Strange though, I seem to have fine traction in 2nd with 230whp 215/45/16 RT615

That's what's in my car now.
I've still been able to get almost 30 mpg, but I find myself driving much slower than normal and even surrounding traffic (and reaching for my earplugs).

x2 for still getting decent milage AND driving slower. Usually crusie b/w 70-75 on the highway.

OP, there is a big difference b/w the 4.4 and the 4.7. I think the difference b/w the 4.9 and the 4.7 isn't as crazy, at least according to the graph posted not too long ago.

Though I was pretty sure I ordered a double DIN one.
Guess we'll see when it comes in.

4.785 FTW. Rocked it on the R w/ B20 and KAAZ LSD, all I can say , in the process of getting 4.7 or 4.9FD for my EK. Along w/ lightweight flywheel its got to be one of the better mods out there.

single din block off plate can be purchased off USDM honda for $15. Found on 90-1 Civic STD
