BTW, there may be an error in the Excel spreadsheet.
It uses 22.8 inches as the diameter for the tires in the spreadsheet. This is used to determine the actual road speed at any given RPM setting.
When you calculate the dimensions for the stock size 195/55-15 tires, the diameter comes out to 23.44 inches. (FWIW, 205/50-15 is 23.07.) Now, I don't know where 22.8 inches comes from. It's possible that that is a "rolling" diameter, i.e. accounts for the slightly smaller diameter resulting from the deflection of the tire by the pavement. But it's also possible that it's just an error.
So the speed numbers in the spreadsheet could be off as a result.
