JDM Final Drive questions.
I have an ACT HD-SS clutch kit and ZEX 10 lb. flywheel sitting in my room. I'm contemplating on getting a JDM final drive since I keep on hearing; ''Since your doing the clutch anyway, get a JDM final drive.'' I'm not too familiar with the product, can anybody fill me in on the pros and cons? I did a search but all I came up with is problems with it. How much does it cost also? I'd really appreciate the help. If it matters at all, my ITR has about 25,000 miles on it.

Re: JDM Final Drive questions. (Keyed ITR)
Cost: $400-$500 (add $100 for GS-R 5th if needed)
Labor: $free - $300
Pros: Quicker acceleration due to the shorter gearing (numerically taller final drive).
Cons: Higher rpm than stock at highway speeds if you don't run GS-R 5th gear. Also, could cost you extra on gas $, but that's kinda insignificant.

That would account for the huge rpm...
In canuck bucks that would be about a $1500.00 investment ( ouch ).
Anybody got any hard numbers on how much quicker the car is
And where do you guy's get the JDM stuff anyway? Through Acura?
