Default Which final drive would be the best for drag racing?

I am looking at both JDM and ATS.. I already started a comparison thread, but I was just curious what is the best for dragging? I don't want to spin all thru 1st and 2nd gear, and I heard thats what happens with the ATS...

Depend how much power your car made and what is the trap speed. I think the FD ratio would be the one that let you finish the 1/4mile right at the rev limit in the 3rd or 4th gear!!

ATS + Slicks?? Just an idea. Don't know if that would work.

The ATS would be a good choice for short circuit, stop light racing and 1/4 mile drag racing.

If you highway race it would suck to have a higher gear ratio.. you wouldn't be able to keep up with the European cars that has higher top speed. If you like doing this, tune for more HP+ and keep the stock gear ratio.

I've got an ATS and I do not spin through 1st and 2nd.

Do a search on ATS and Final Drive and you'll probably find my impressions of it on a thread I started called: My impression of my ATS 4.929 final drive."

That should give you a good idea about the advantages of the ATS.
