Exhaust Suggestions
Just had a couple questions for those with experience on the subject. I am taking my car back to the life of daily driving, so I am trying to quiet down the exhaust. I have the JUN exhaust right now, which is approx. 2.5 inches with a 12 inch resonator as well as a straight through muffler at the end. My plan was to put a 22 inch body resonator in place of the 12 inch as well as add the Carsound 93506 in place of the test pipe.
You guys with exhaust experience.... Do you think this will quiet it down significantly? Will the cat help with the noice, or do you think I should try to fit a smaller resonator in somewhere as well as the 22 inch one. of course I want to have minimal power loss. Thanks.

Yes, sadly I am actually thinking about cutting the b-pipe section and then re-welding it to put the new resonator in. Do you guys think that 10 inches more on a resonator will help that much?
I went from no resonator to a 16" resonator on the b-pipe, it was quieter but not by much.
but it's all subjective to what you think is quieter. I don't know if 10" more will make much of a difference.

At first, I had a test pipe, 2.5" b-pipe with no resonator to a 2.5" magnaflow muffler that is straight through as well.
I put on a 16" resonator on the bpipe, it did get quieter, but not by much. Then I put on a t1r resonated test pipe and that made it slightly more quiet. But still not by much. I don't think there's a way to make your JUN exhaust as quiet as a mugen.

yeah, it might not work. I have just been doing a lot of searching and have read that the SMSP exhaust is farely quiet. On one of the setups I saw, he used a larger resonator and then a smaller one by the gas tank which then went through a straight through magnaflow. Anymore suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for all your imput thus far TypeR 599.

dude i will give u goooood money for the exaust if u want to get rid of it. Thanks, chris leboeuf45@aol.com
I would sell it, but I got the exhaust used myself about two years ago. It is in pretty bad shape right now, so I figured I would use the parts I could salvage because I am quite short on cash.
