Default ES Oval or Comptech?

I have the chance to get a Comtech Exhaust for a Type R. But will need to be modified to fit my GSR. It looks like it has been used for a while.
But for the $150 ill spend for the Comtech. I was thinking, Should I just get an ES Oval with Custom Piping? If i do, do I go with 2.25inch or 2.5inch? Also is the ES Oval loud? Louder then the Comptech? Can a mufler shop put in a resonator? Thanks.

EDIT: ment to be posted in Integra..Not Type R. Sorry

right now im running a comptech axleback with a custom 2.25" mandrel bent piping with a resonator. I've had this for about a year now, but I plan to get a ES muffler soon just for the low key look--the cops keep hassling me with the comptech piece. Im also planning to take out the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe for more topend power. I say just get a es muffler with a custom pipe--it'll save you money over the comptech setup.

If you take that resinator out AND put an ES on, the only hassle you won't receive from the cops is when your car is off. That thing would be rediculously loud. ES Oval's are pretty loud and there N1 is even louder. Even if the cop didn't think it was a performance exhaust he'd give you a ticket to get your exhaust repaired.

Of course. Any muffler shop (hopefully) can install a resonator or two or three. Custom 2.25 or 2.5 with like an 18" Magnaflow resonator and that muffler will work fine. May be a little loud also depends on what header/cat or lack there of combo you are running also.

If you can get a good deal on the comptech get it. Great sounding and quality and pretty quiet.

It probably just needs to be lengthened or shortened. I have an ITR b-pipe and Mugen axle back on my 99 SI. I just extended the b-pipe 2" behind the first resonator. Cheap and easy.
