Default Custom 2.5'' exhaust - What "stealth" looking mufflers available?

What are some stealth looking and yet fairly free-flowing mufflers that we can use for a custom 2.5'' exhaust? The ES Oval muffler has to be the most stealth looking straight-through muffler I've come across so far...but I know there are alternatives.

What are your opinions on the ES oval or any others you'd recommend?

I suppose the Magnaflow universals are popular as well. I had the ES Oval 2.5 in/out and all together with my other mods tuned made 193/133. Im 'passinuby' he traded me his stock itr muffler for it. The ES oval I had was painted flat black with an itr tip welded on it. Looks clean as well as stock, free flowing.

Only downfall is that it got pretty loud, especially with the carsound cat for some reason (also had a resonator on). My area of the sf bay cops will ticket you if you have a noticeable aftermarket exhaust.

I run a 2.5" MagnaFlow ES style muffler, I have made 196whp 135tq!

Sounds very deep, I like it and so do my friends!

My roommate is running a Borla muffler with a 3" tip and it is just as stealth as the stock ITR system. You could paint the muffler flat black and it would be even more stealth. I have to give the Borla muffler a though great quality, excelent sound, just a nice piece.

I have a stock LS looking exhaust that looks like some bad Mineke job --- Spoon Sports Street Muffler.

I actually just got mine done last week...2.5 from the header back with a Dynomax "super turbo" which I painted "BBQ Black" from Home Depot. Sounds really quiet at highway cruising speeds and looks stock. Cost me $160 at this super ghetto muffler shop in Crenshaw....(thats 160 for the piping and muffler).

Will hopefully get pics up later...will post when possible...

if u get an ES muffler and custom the piping
my question is
like if u just get the muffler and custom the
the rear section only
does it actually sound decent and make power?

The stealthiest magnaflow 2.5" muffler inside a stock gsr muffler body.
Ha!

I've been thinking of doing just that. How difficult was it to fit the Magnaflow in there?

kinda a noob ?

im curious to have much power i will be losing if i stay with the stock catback on my 2 liter as opposed to a 2.5 in with a magna or borla muffler?

is sound really the only difference.?

It took a lot of test fitting, drill bits, and sawzall blades. I just gutted the stock one from the rear and tacked in the magnaflow. The pipe sticking out of it is crush bent piece that resembles the stock pipe but in 2.5". I also had to take out a couple of braces in the exhaust tip that were spot welded on, that took a bit of time. Other than that it wasn't too difficult, though it would have went a lot smoother if I had access to a plasma cutter.

What paint do you guys use to paint your mufflers? Is there a heat resistant paint or just regular flat black paint? It seems that painting it really helps with the stealth look. So many people i know have been recieving improper muffler tickets and I don't want to be one of them.
