If you are in high school and on a budget I would stay away from LS/Vtec. LS/Vtec is ok but it can get complicated and pricey to do. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to do just a B18B ( LS ) and turbo that. That will meet your goals very easily. The vtec head alone can cost the same as an entire assembled/running LS engine

NO that motor is cabable of churning out your 200-300 whp range as is, no need to build that is why i suggest it, they are cheap and easy to find and durable. They are also the most user friendly if you need to work on it if you are new to it. And if you are in highschool I would just use the ol trusty LS. Yes people are gonna play up the vtec and say ooh you dont have vtec but expletiveem you can bust their *** and see what they say then

reading and learning from threads is your friend, along with the search button of course You have alot of learning about turbo setups ahead of you. IMO your best bet would to buy a LS swap, then learn enough about turbo setups to either piece together your own kit or purchase a complete kit.

BTW turbo's dont use cold air intakes

I fully agree, you have a lot to learn, not being rude but you do not need a turbo yet until you under stand more

Now I see why you dont know what you want to do, I clicked on the links and out of the 21 links I clicked on only the first 2 didnt work. Try a little harder to do something for your self and research and read. We dont mind helping you around here but you gotta do some of it yourself and last time I checked the search button was working and so was the entire Forced Induction forum and all the others. I spent a very long time just reading before I went turbo and I learned a ton of ****.

Not trying to be an *** but some of the stuff you are asking would easily be answered if you did some research for yourself you are the only one that knows what YOU want to do.
