How many people have had boost creep/spike issues with drag manifold?
I got a deal on a drag mani and turbonetics t3/t4 for 580 shipped. I was wondering how many people actually have problems with keeping their boost at the correct PSI. The guy who had the manifold before me told me that he had a .5 bar spring, for 7.25 PSI, but it would always run at like 8.5 PSI instead. Has anyone else had these issues? I only want to run 7-8 psi, if it goes up to 9 thats not too bad, but 10 or past that is gonna bug me for a stock LS bottom end with 140k on the clock. Thanks all.
i have NEVER spiked. i only ran a max 10 psi but i never had a problem, and that was with a deltagate. if you want you can port that runner and the flange and it takes care of the problem i am told.

drag manifold with 2.5dp to 3inch thermal, tial w/g with 7psi spring boost creeps to 18-19psi with no boost controller from 6500rpm to 8000rpm
would a EBC help?
i have a tial with .45 bar spring. never spikes. :knock on wood: maybe cuz i run a chambered 60mm exhaust dunno...

No spike whatsoever @ 10psi w/ a tial, even if I run open DP. I'm running open dumptube as well, though, and this may be a solution.

That's not creep, that's a install problem.

drag manifold 3in downpipe tial wastegate 12psi never had any kind of boost creep even when car was set at 10 psi with a 2.5 inch exhuast i still dont understand why all these people are having these problems
I'm running a DRAG manifold with a Tial WG, into the DRAG 2.5" downpipe, to a 3" thermal exhaust. I get a semi-spike I'd guess. Boost goes to 10 psi by 3.5k, but slowly moves up to about 10.5 or 11 by redline. Nothing terrible, but of course I'd rather it stay constant.
Seriously guys, it's a horrible horrible manifold.
Theres plenty of better aftermarket choices out there. Theres also a shitload of guys making much better manifolds out of their garages for awesome prices.
Think about it, there is always somebody on eBay who will buy you're ****.

there are also plenty of people running over 500 hp with a drag mani, and many more who run them with no problem. if your not speaking from expierience then dont speak.

Drag mani's aren't as bad as everyone thinks......I'r running a tial w/g w/ .5 bar spring, open downpipe and the most boost it ever saw was 7.5 psi. I know a lot of other guys running the same manifold and it never spikes or creeps.

You should of posted pictures. It would of sunk in more

A buddy (forget his username on here) was spiking from 9lbs to 14lbs. He switched out the Drag manifold for an Inline Pro and holds 16lbs from 4800RPM to 9100RPM with no spikes.

In his case it was a combination of the two. In my other friend's case it was the manifold. His TiAL wastegate worked fine after he switched the manifold out. Vapor was there to witness it as he was tuning the car.
what everyone is saying kind of goes both ways.
My turbo is a Turbonetics t3/t4. It's 54 trim and .63 A/R. I'm gussing a bigger turbo would most likely spike more so than a T25 or T3...right? Anyway, the guy was using the turbo on a B16 and was spiking from 7.25(.5bar) to 8.5-9 PSI, so do you all think I will spike or not with a 2.5" downpipe and a dump tube with a 38 MM tial WG, thanks.

I don't know if would help you but adding a simple manual boost controller set at stock boost might help the creep problems.
Damn so many boost spike and creeps so did anyone really narrow down to why it happened?????? So is it the tial wg or the drag manifold causing it to spike and creep??? Damn crap like this make me worry also lolz
i have a drag mani with a t3/t4 and turbonetics evolution wastegate, spring is set at 7psi but the most i can get is 5psi
and no boost creep/spike
and no boost creep/spike
