Re: Almost everything you wanted to know about turbo install......bolt sizes, thread pitch, oil feed
Thanks for the list!
One question though I priced all the stuff I would need for the oil drain, and my total came out to about $70.00 <--does that sound right to you guys? So I figure add another $50-$70 for the oil feed, does that sound right to you guys too?
Also for the oil feed, you only listed one NPT brass tee. That's supposed to go onto the 1/8" BSPT to NPT right? and that goes on the back of the block. But what is the stuff I keep hearing about how "it can seize and it itself can break"?
I haven't priced out my oil feed yet, cause I'm still figuring out how I'm gonna have all the stuff hooked up back there (stock oil pressure sender, and aftermarket pressure sender and oil pressure guage hookup).
thanks

Re: Almost everything you wanted to know about turbo install......bolt sizes, thread pitch, oil feed
did you priced it with drain flange ? that's the expensive ones, it can run from 15 bucks for casted flange to 28 for billet...
you need a BSPT to NPT adapter in addition to the NPT brass tee...no one that I know makes Brass tee with NPT nipple on one end and NPT female on the other 2 ends...

Inline Pro - 10mm x 1.25 [30mm] ( length of the bolt)
I noticed the back two furthest from the block can use this dimension.
The front two that are closest to the block needs a 25mm...one because its just too long to bolt into the manifold because of the turbo getting in the way and the other one just won't screw in anymore even when torqued into it. Just thought i'd pass the information along. maybe its the manifold that they made for me.
