Hello All, After reading so many archived threads about installing a TT w/ an alarm system. I was tossed around looking for a FINAL answer. So I decided to make this Thread. This ONE way you could do it and it WORKED for me and some other people on the forum. I take no responsibility for what happens. Take this as a learning lesson. Here we go:

There are 2 ways I found in this forum, (1) Use a Relay, (2) Chop and switch some wires..

I didn't use the Relay because I'm not much of a 12V kind of guy so I went w/ the Chop and switch method.

I'm using a typical alarm system IEViper,Clifford,Python).. W/ a Greddy turbo timer.

First find your alarm brain and switch the 12V position ignition wire(refer to your manual or use a light pen to test) and re-wire it to an existing Accessory power source IE(Clock,12V DCar charger). After doing this, It will trick your alarm to arm while the car is with no keys yet still being able to keep your ignition kill.

Part two is to find your turbo timer, Most have 3 wires, (12V power, Ignition, Accessory). After finding these Disconnect the Accessory wire(which was blue for me) from the TT completely, do not re-wire this item.

With all this done you should be able recieve this scenario if done correctly:

1. Start car
2. Set turbo timer for 30second shut down(testing time)
3. Remove your keys (Doors SHOULD unlock from your alarm)
4. Turbo timer activates
5. Step out of car
6. Turn on alarm (depending on your vibration/mount of shock sensor, You will need to play with this part)
7. Stand there and watch your turbo timer count down and the car still remains locked and armed!!
8. Dance your heart out

I know it has, but when i went searching for a direct answer, I found just alot of threads asking the same thing but not 1 thread finding a definate answer in the FIRST post.

This man (lonnieboost) deserves partial credit for showing me some of how this works.

Most starter kill relay coils are wired to true ignition, so if you do it this way check your starter kill feature to make sure it still works. If it was wired to true ignition and you hook up your tt this way you will have to rewire the coil to 12v constant, or to the key side of your starter wire.

Or you could just wire the starter kill relay direct to the ignition wire. Then the ignition input wire on the alarm put a switch inbetween and leave it off unless you need to reset the alarm. That way starter kill always works and the alarm wont see ingition unless you turn the switch on. Thats how I always did em.

I am trying to get the Greddy turbo timer to run and be able to use the keyless entry to lock my doors when I get out. would disconnecting the blue wire do that for me?

On the factory alarm its a lot more technical than that. I would say leave it alone or add an aftermarket alarm.

Well the factory alarm is in the driver kick panel on a 99-00 I believe. Get down there, do some wire testing and it shouldn't be hard to find the ignition wire and interupt it with a relay.
