Default LS/Vtec Reliability?

i'm about to buy my first ever honda, a 90 integra with an LS/Vtec swap. i just wanted to know how reliable this swap is for a daily driver. i dont romp my cars, i baby them, and i know that all the work done to the motor was done correctly. buying off a friend who is a machinist, so he does this stuff everyday. very good work. i just want to hear some opinions on this swap? heres the details by the way. B17 head, 1.8LS block, some kit to merge the two together. vtec gets oiled by a stainless line instead of drilling a hole down to the block. i'm sorry if i screwed up this description, but i'm still learning. Is this a powerful swap? if so, how much power exactly. i'm going to check it out and take pics tomorrow, so i'll post some up. thanx in advance.

its a powerful swap, about 160ish whp but its alot better than the standard b18b 110whp. as with reliability, like he said above; depends on how it was built and buy who. cheap parts and cheap labor could = kaboom. good parts with good mechanic could = yeehaw aka mean bitch.

::coughs:: I'm from the south but i swear i don't talk like it.

what about a stock B18A1 with a stock B16a2 head and CTR cams? any good, I can pick up a b18a for 100$ plus a trade and I already have the head and the cams.

should make a hell of a lot more than 160... an ls is 140 stock... 200hp is an attainable goal on ITR or CTR cams
