Anyone ever check out this site? Pretty good deals.
20% off some ATE super blue at tire rack.

Some good tool deals as well.. some of those little craftsman kits would be great for a track day rather than lugging half the tool box.

Thanks for sharing! I always order my ATE blue and ATE Typ 200 (gold) online. I once had to pick up some Blue in a pinch at a Porsche dealer (this is what Porsche runs in some vehicles stock) and that sh*t cost me $35. Hahaha.
Update on my wheel drama: Dude basically says he provided a honest description and pictures and that I should trust him. I guess he just doesn't get that his definition of "excellent condition" his far off from the norm.

No problem on the fluid, That company "gearhead deals" comes up on my facebook and only some **** actually catches my eye. Thinking I may need to order some myself, I was trying to read the descriptions but Tire Rack is a little vague. Would you be able to tell me the difference in the blue and amber?
I assume the sl.6 is a base fluid? sand the other two are "race"?
Very sweet video! Next to impossible to get on the closest track to me, it's a private course in the hill country. Just waiting for the next HPDE event out there.

Actually I'm almost done with my MBA, but I work in the legal field. Weird, I know.
I've only heard about the loose safety rules of Canadian tracks, but damn...I can't believe people are allowed to stand by the wall like that. All the track out here in California require you to be behind the pit wall, so you aren't anywhere near the track wall.
Awesome that you're getting out there in the car!

Yah this particular event is known for not having their safety up to par, and to make it worse this was a record breaking attendance and i think they just werent expecting to handle that crowd. Thats not even that bad, you should see when the drifters come out, they do that last corner in reverse and theres no wall. People are literally feet away from the action. There was a crash in that event, although it was strictly driver error, hopefully itll open their eyes.
I just noticed that my exhaust piping is really close to the gas tank. If i move it with my hand it touches, is this dangerous?
FIX IT PICS! tub is nice and straight still...body lines are solid. gotta get a pro to work that 1/4 a bit, then i'll spray it.

changed the rear trim panel, rear bumper, door, door-glass (maroon door had busted glass), put my flared fenders on (the street wheels are bit small, but OK)
here is what it looked like all apart.
gonna paint it after dents are fixed by a pro, and after the turbo setup is rebuilt.

decided i liked the flared fenders again , took maroon fenders off

its an 88-89 bumper in the rear. who cares? not me.

Sorry for the delayed response - thanks guys, I'll try that out and get it set.
And i saw someone mentioned fixing up dubs - I'm running a 1984 VW Rabbit GTi now and couldn't be happier.
Different scene mentality - still some jerks - but events are more family like.
But i love never being hassled by cops either...

I pulled an EX harness from a 90 civic and my car is an 89. I dont know if this is a multipoint thing (si or EX) or if its from all 90-91s. what plug is this? it plugs into the engine harness and only one of the wires from it runs a different way which is to the relay for the fan. its a small square plug where you plug the engine harness into the main harness
thats one of the reasons its easier to just put a couple extra wires in your existing harness and repin a few things for an MPFI conversion.
i never understand why this is so scary to some people! you can doit.
Blu, i instructed a dude with AEM pads one time on track. they kinda sucks. street pad, IMO. if you want a cheap track pad, and you have bigger sized brakes, you want the cheapest semi-mettalic pad you can buy from the parts store (AEMs might just be this too). they wear fast, but work alright.
got my flares from a local dude who didnt want them. they are jubride-brand i think.
and yes, bear, the shop dog, sits very still sometimes. fora LONG time. odd.

time constraints might kinda dictate that for a while anyways...we'll see.
i kinda agree. it doesnt look that bad!
blu , i've been reasonably impressed with axis metal masters, so the ULT will probably be fine too. everybody has a different opinion on brake pads though...
