So I got my car back. Seems it was the battery...

But how often do the main relays under the dash go bad?
It starts ok but yesterday it made a hissing/frying sound while trying to start it twice. But then started fine.

Other then that oil change, new tires, figure out where oil is leaking from and why the trans is leaking as well and a slight hesisation @ intially driving with acceleration.

RPMs don't fall on it face it just doesn't seem to move and then catches. Clutch was already replaced. And timins is good. So I don't know.

don't think your timing has anything to do with you not getting spark

i never understand why this is so scary to some people! you can doit.
actually I had it converted to multipoint but between adding cruise control and stock mpfi to get rid of uneccessary "after-thought" wiring, the harness swap is a win

If the belt is off, you still will get spark, its just at the wrong time so it wont run, but yest there will be spark.

So has anyone tried using the +95 main relays with success?
I may just purchase a brand new if they say they fixed them from having the crack joint problems.

since i am whoring pics, here are more! boosted chemist should like this

putting my turbo setup back together, with a new turbo. check out that massive outlet on the huffer...NEAT! should have a good powerband with my f23/f22head setup

had to cut/weld a little "kick" on the outlet...had to angle around the radiator a bit. my old turbo had a slightly odd housing on it. this one (borg warner GM8) is different. welded V band on the exhaust too.

i obviously wrapped a bunch of stuff to keep some heat where it needs to be... i'm also putting a turbo blanket on. its basically a track car now....it'll make some HEAT. used to run track events turbod, but its been a year or so. trying to fix what i wished i fixed before.

I'll be there, but the CRX might not be. With the wedding, honeymoon, and moving into a new house all in the last couple of weeks, I don't think it will be road worthy by July

my sedan which is my only car has been sitting for a week while I swap/splice/tuck an EX harness into it. probably put 50 hours into it so far and have many more til its done. including tonight Ive been working on it til 6am the past 3 days. which is getting frustrating. just takes determination and knowing youll regret it if you sell the car or quit workin on it. just get a mental picture of how your car will look and work toward that

true. i guess its just disheartening seeing your car in progress while others are nice and look finished. just gotta grind it out to where you want it i guess.

I have this discussion with CBE on about a bi monthly basis.

I have a 90 dx sitting that I'm trying to convert to RHD.

She is sitting. Got really motivated stripped most of it. Just need to drill out spot welds then put rhd clip in.

Got a 84 mustang svo that has been sitting for 12-15 years now. Driven it 1/4 mile or less since I've owned it. Currently sitting outside.

I threaten to sell all of my projects lately on a monthly basis due to never having any money or time.

But they both sit.

The Hatch I usually come back to when I drive my rex around. The mustang about once or twice a year I get motivated and really work on it (only issue with the mustang due to the rarity of the car parts are bloody expensive)
