does anyone know the valve clearances for ITR???

 

in 0.15-0.19
ex 0.17-0.21

 

That's in millimeters.

 

adjusted valve to specs and still is gettin the tappin' noise.... could it be somethin else????

B-series injectors are quite loud. Assuming you did the valve adjustment properly, there's a good chance you could be confusing the injector ticking with valve tap. Is this something you just recently began hearing?

B series valves are always loud anyways.

Rev the engine up, if the noise goes away on the rev down, and continues when the engine starts idling, it's just the injectors.

would this be the same for JDM? think they are the same cams and valves arent they?

 

could 1 injector be loud and the others normal? im having the same problem, it sounds like the valves in cylinder 3.

i hear a tapping just from one cylinder, it goes away for a little bit and then comes back, could it be detonation? i checked the plug and they are all fine, what else could this be?

if it was detonation youd know it, from what your saying sounds like injector to me.

 

Be confident in the work you do.... We can not tell if its the valves or injectors, if you did an adjustment and its correct then you can rule out tapping.
