Im looking for a firmer brake pedal ...
91' si hatch
stock fronts (hawk hps ,for now)
rear disc conv. (generic pads)
40/40 valve
russell lines
pedal feels too soft and Im not liking it , I've been thinking about stock booster with ex master cyl or integra booster and master cyl ... being with stock fronts , what do you guys think will be a better choice ?

Question for you guys, how big is the aftermarket support for the ef wagon? How hard would it be to come across things like lip kits, coilovers, exhausts, and the like?

Yes get the 15/16 booster and mc setup if you want a firmer pedal. I have a 1" setup and my pedal is tight and firm like a virgins ***** and breasts.

car is not daily driven though , I do some small track events but Im planning on moving to bigger tracks once I get better suspension and tires ....
I have to say, I just replaced my MC with a brand new stock DX one, and the pedal is solid. Makes me wonder if you guys have old leaky MC's. I am using 40/40 prop valve and G2 Teg rear discs. A larger MC would only decrease the pedal travel, shouldnt make it firmer
setup
Russell SS lines
G2 Teg rear discs
slotted rotors
Hawk pads
New DX MC
DX front brakes
Pedal is solid and at good height

On the brake topic, my pedal is firm most times (not as firm as I'd like though), and other times it slowly sinks to the floor until I lose braking power and start to roll from a stop. Culprit?
Master cylinder is leaking in your case. My beater does that. Sometimes the pedal is as firm as a new car and others, it has to travel a good ways before it starts working.
That's incorrect cwbetb. The larger the mc the shorter the pedal travel for a set amount of fluid flow. The piton is bigger increasing thebamount of fluid being pushed. If car a is all stock and car b only had upgraded larger front discs with larger calipers which have larger pistons car b will require a longer pedal travel to move the fluid into the larger brakes than car a would. This is why the cars with larger discs got larger master cylinders and not smaller ones.

Sorry that was what I ment, didnt explain it correct
well teaching my son how to drive the hatch. did 1st & 2nd gear in a empty wal-mart parking lot. he's getting the hang of it...no boost for him yet lol
when we finished went to hit the brakes and nothing. popped the hood no brake fluid in the reservoir and looked under the car and brake fluid on the ground...brake line finally gave out. i was stupid for not changing it earlier...like last year. ss brake line came loos and almost rubbed through the ss but not the line. bought a replacement last month and today it failed. ebraked it down the back roads and changed it when i got home. stupid i know, could have happened in traffic coming to a stop
