Yep. I have a guy at a Honda dealer that can help me out with most parts if I get him a part number but waiting 2 weeks for a tie rod end from Japan sucks a bit.

You guys both have some aggressive looking cars. I know you run brake ducts on yours Red zc, how do you have the air blowing onto the rotor? (bracket bolted to caliper? hole in dust shield?) I see a lot of set-ups favoring one side of the rotor. but I believe the center is the best place, just seems hard to get that close and not restrict anything. would you have any pics of what your running?
-not that I need brake ducts, just wondering how its set up.

-nice rex chargeR, welcome to the discussion.

Little of this, little of that. But if you want something you couldn't find searching answered quickly with reliable info, you won't find a better discussion thread.

Agree with that right there.

It seems the Hater Tech is outside of this thread.

Plus it has a lot of the true purist EF-Heads in here.

my brake duct setup is pretty simple, i like to do something that wraps around the whole bottom of the caliper, but right now it just blows at the backside of the rotor. its a small piece of tube welded to a little tab and bolted against the caliper on the bottom. its something i'll probably re-do, but i'll snap a pic or two next time its in the air. got a really exciting private-track-day at gingerman next monday, so i gotta nut-and-bolt it before then.

Thanks Redzc(Adam?) They make some pretty cool brackets for some American cars, not much that I have seen for Honda's.. Look forward to what you got in store. Good luck at that event, Your a busy man!

Boosted, I feel your pain man. I need to find a money tree and start shaking it!

Not only a great discussion thread, but we assist each other in grammatical composition as well. Yaaayyyyy!

Transmission blew up today...

So for an '88 HF you'd have to upgrade knuckles to use an Si tranny, right?

I may be wrong but I thought the knuckles were the only difference. If so, u could use an si tranny with hf axles in theory.

It would be spline count/size. Great thought though. I wonder if the inner axle shaft is the same size between the hf and std./si axles. Then

Gonna have to search this one out of curiosity...

Good to know info. I may be on a rampage, but goddamn, if you are just going to walk in here as a noob and type like that, no one is going to help you. Idk about you guys but when selling something or buying off craigslist, if the person cant make a halved assed attempt to speak english I will not deal with them.

Yes, great info. That seems steep for a d-series trans. DANG!

And Chemist...I hear ya. Unfortunately, if we were to poll this forum and pull demographic and socioeconomic information, I think you'd just get more pissed. Hahaha.
