today was a nice 30 Celcius (86 F) and more like 93 with the humidity; plus im a *****
Back to the problem... I turn on the car, then switch on the a/c. Everything works fine, and a minute in it starts to tick, sorta like popcorn in a microwave (to that effect) and then becomes constant. Now, when i accelerate it goes away, and when im at a stop light for about 20-30 secs long it begins to tick again. I was thinking a relay problem as well, but how would i go about fixing it? I'm an a/c noob</TD></TR></TABLE>
lol. I'm just kidding man
So things work when the motor is spinning (and the compressor) at a faster rate. Can you listen under the hood and find the noise. Is the belt tensioned properly?

a/c problem: did you convert from r12 to r134a? when teh clicking occurs where is it coming from...up by the right headlight or down by the compressor. when it is occurring does the compressor cycle (can you see the clutch stop/start/stop)?
i need to know this stuff so i can tell you some possible causes/solutions.

Andy and Kyle, thanks for the responses. Yes, it is converted. But as of now, it has stopped (the ticking). It sounds like it is up more towards the headlight. It doesnt matter the cycle, it tends to be non stop. I'll let you guys know if it occurs again tomorrow. Appreciate all the help boys

If it happens again try to record it and post it up.
