some r12 converted cars (if it is just the pressure fittings/valves that were replaced) the compressors have a tendency to take a dump because of the different types of oils. an r12 compressor is not supposed to have pag oil in it. if the noise is coming from the headlight are that would be the relay. if the relay is cycling constantly there are one of 3 things likely happening. 1: poor ground, 2: low refrigerant, or 3: a bad pressure switch.

should just get a compressor from a r134 car if you can make it fit. i don't know if the bolt holes for mounting it are the same for the ek ones or not...you know teh torque mounts and all.

even if you replace the comp. you will still have mineral/ r-12 oil in the lines which isnt compatible with pag. the make new or rebuilt compressors for the crx and civic.
