how so??

Because someone hasn't "raced" or "tracked" my car yet they are a hardparker???

Sometime people forget the steps in getting a car "ready" ad think poof all of a sudden a perfect car just shows up at a race track or at a car show. Sometime people don't have time or the proper days off for tracking or racing their car, ad so while they wait for the time to come they equip their car with the stuff they need in order to be ready for it take some pictures post them up and bam all of a sudden because they don't have any pictures of their car on the track putting all those part, nice rims and seats to use they are a hard parker

quiet the labeling bullshit and allow people to do what they want with their car. so what they have some heavy rims, if they don't drive their car fast they will never know the difference anyway. so what they have a tow hook, who doesn't have a trendy part in their car that they purchased because they like.

Yeah I joke around but i all seriousness I'm not going to spend my whole time of Honda-Tech following those people around waiting to see what they do nexx so I can point it out as a lame mod that will never get put to use.

Their are old guys out there with Hot Rods doing the same thing. Big block motor, race seats and bling here bling there, how come when it comes to a Honda its a whole different story and a label get put on them.

I did the hardparking thing as a joke because I didn't have the days off to take my car to events, nor did I even think it was readily equipped to handle them. but that doesn't mean I don't have plans for my car nor am I going to go off on a rant and get all upset because someone calls me a HPK member, but this is more for the people who aren't as out spoken as me. For the people who are ashamed of what they do with their car because of people who track it and talk ****. And then their are those people whom have never seen a track a day in their life but they sit up and follow suit with all the other **** talkers and call people HP. Quiet being a hypocrite and following the crowd I say. That's how I came up with my cookie cutter ****. Some people don't like it but I built my car by my standards and o one elses. For everyone 1 person that hates on what I do I have 7 other people who respect it because I do it my way

Allow me to sum it up: tow hooks on a car with $25 tires, or, 12lb wheels.

I don't follow the logic of spending a fortune on functional parts and not utilizing that function. I'm also pretty sure the notion of using a handicap symbol with a tow hook bolted to it is offensive to a lot of people.

Honestly Vega. I have no idea what your style is. U keep it EF though. That is cool! You are definitly not a part of any group. Your car is just different. Nobody has anything like it. Thats cool! I'm not hating on anything, just to be clear. I'm just saying I will never have a heavy worthless wheel. Even if it does look good.

Yeah, I find that funny, too. People spend $1500+ on a set of really nice, forged, light weight wheels, then put Wal-Mart brand tires on them. All the strut bars, roll bars, sway bars, coilovers, etc are null and void if the tires you run don't provide any grip.

This rant brought to you buy the lil people who don't speak for themselves serviced by James:

Look not everyone knows about tires for one. Which tires perform better which tires handle great in rain and for daily use. There was a time when I didn't know much about tires, I still don't know much. But I'm sure not everyone goes into a tire store and says "hey give me your best handling tires because I want to be able to stop on a dime" Which is sure the reason why they created All-Season tires. Yeah brand differ but then again we are talking about people who could care less and are just buying tires to get around. Yeeah you may be saying to yourself "well if you are going to get tires why not get the best tires on the market?"
Well some people don't have money to get the best tires on the market. That's why I had Runways for a while. Yeah people talk **** about them but they did their job...got me from point A to point B and that's all that matter to me at the point. I never had sidewall problems with them or braking issues or mishandling in the rain either. I also had my heavy *** WedSports on the Runways. But like I said I was just getting from point A to B on the tires and rims so my concern wasn't how low my car is because of the rims. They never cracked or got bent so I was happy. Plus they were the rims I wanted. Which was the most import fact of it. Tow hooks that's a trend like any other trend. Will 80% of the people who have one ever use it...probably not. does that make them less of an car enthusiast because of that...it shouldn't. But because building a car is like "high school gossip" you'll get your crowd of people who don't understand why they did it and start running off at the mouth about it. Why not bash on the people who have "aftermarket" shift ***** that serve no purpose...?

Run a P28, and I'm sure you can mod a Dizzy to work. Or better yet. Run a programmable computer, like an AEM, or a Tec2, and go that route, remove the Dizzy go Coil On Plug!

Dudes its a zc, they made obd1 zc source a dissy and a p28 crome >>>>>>> TE. I used to run te back in the day when the first 3 bar support came on board. Obd1 is a much more powerful ecu. Its like ps2 vs nes.

So all I would need would be the OBDI ZC dizzy, converter harness, and OBDI ECU? How about injectors? Do I have to change those?

ALSO dont bother with the 4 wire o2, just use your stock single wire with o2 heater disabled or be a baller like me and expletive the oem o2 and run your wideband's narrow output to your ecu.

James, don't take any of this to heart. I know exactly where you come from on the tires. If you don't have the money, you don't have the money, I've been there.

I just find irony in the fact that people purchase race inspired parts, with no intention of ever using them for that purpose, and then glorifying that fact. That comment isn't directed towards you specifically, just "hard parkers" in general.

People say JDM is just a trend, a fad, but I believe otherwise. JDM, in the true sense of the term, is geared towards functionality, simplicity, and cleanliness. Companies like Spoon, Mugen, and J's Racing design, build, and test parts for functionality and racing use. The people here in the U.S. who first recognized this fact, modified their cars for the right reasons. Once the JDM movement became popular, the real meaning got lost. Now the market is flooded with copies, duplicates, replicas, and fakes. More and more people are purchasing parts for a JDM "look." People cover their cars in cheaply-made eBay parts to look "JDM." Why? What's the point?

I decided to convert all of my exterior to OEM EF9. IMO, the parts are better looking, designed with more thought and passion, all while maintaining an OEM look. Subtle things, like the lips, greatly improve the appearance and make the car look more complete.

I did purchase a replica part, though. My mirrors are fake. I refuse to pay $350+ for a set of mirrors that only provide a minimal performance improvement (aerodynamics). That, and the fact that the stock mirrors are ugly (IMO). I also bought replica side skirts. However, they are an exact mold from the original and are made of the same material. You won't catch me buying fake wheels, though. When it comes to function, I'm after the weight and strength factor, something not offered by Rota/Drag/Etc.

Don't even get me started on drifting. The original racers wanted to get down the mountain as fast as possible, thus requiring extreme oversteer on the 180* corners. Drifting now is a "dance." They don't even care if you finish first, for crying out loud. All they care about is tire smoke and drift angle. Ridiculous. They had to, and I'm quoting this directly from RSR, "reverse engineer the suspension" on the S2000 to get the desired oversteer. The rice culture has caught on to this now, and it's only a matter of time before dead bodies start popping up thanks to 16yr old, F&F3/D1, fans sliding around corners in their 240SX's.

That's what I meant by "non-sense."
