I'm not doing anything different then what you have done.

So "trying" to rag about the whole spray paint thing is getting old

yeah I banged it but its still to close for comfort. Has there ever been any issues with some running a shorter belt??</TD></TR></TABLE>

You can run a shorter belt, but just make sure you still have some adjustment left in the alternator. You have to be able to pivot the alternator towards the block a little in order to get the belt on. So, if the belt is too short, you may not be able to tilt it far enough to get the belt over the pulley? Follow? Or just bang the sheet metal in a bit more. The hasport kit doesn't require that much of a dent to be made. You pay extra for the engineering.

Oh, and yellow is my least favorite ef color, but that ^ car is very nice.

the motor mount set up is tempory.

It works for noe but after some extra money comes in I'm going to end up redoing it over again.

I took this from your photobucket. I am assuming it's your car. That is very close. Too close for my comfort. It appears that you have bashed in the metal as much as I did. I guess as long as it doesn't rub you are ok.

James you need to bash the metal in a good 1/2" or so. Keep hammering away. You should have duct taped that area first so you avoid scraping up the paint when hammering on it.

The swagelok wouldnt fix the problem? Are you going to do a sump on the fuel tank?

A/C guys, just vac'd the system and it is air tight, but when i am at idle or at a stop light (any time when my foot isn't on the gas) the compressor (i think, or something in the close vacinity) starts ticking loudly. It is a new compressor and engages/works properly. Any idea?

Yeah it does, I saw a clean y49 when I was driving to work the other day. Old lady was driving it to, I was about to go stalk her and ask her if she wanted to sell it.
