.70 a/r clamp and weld flange are $40.

If I can find time I will snap some pics of the two turbine housings sitting next to each other.

I hear there is an upgrade compressor wheel for the hx40 that has 7 or 6 blades, the stock one is 8 blades, do you know where I can get this

there are so many hx40s some just came with larger compressor wheels. swapping the wheel you would need a compressor housing to go with it. not sure what 7 and 8 blade sizes are but the 6 is 60mm and thats what i used. 7 might be 58mm

Anyone know if i need to have the rotating assembly balanced if i replace the seals in my HX35. Its puking oil from the compressor inlet which im assuming is a bad seal. I know where to buy the rebuild kit and if i can do it myself id rather.

What's the cheaper end of Holset's available that can do 300whp? I don't have much experience with these, and I have a few setups which are more budget oriented but need to make some power.

it shouldn't need balanced as long as you keep the relation of the compressor wheel to the shaft. just use a small scribe and make a mark on the shaft and wheel so you can line them back up during re-assembly . as for where to get the parts i'd recomend http://www.gpopshop.com/ i've ordered from a few times and they are very fast just e-mail them with the part number of the turbo and they will help ya out!

the cheapest way i could think of getting a holset that is good to 300-400 whp is find a dodge diesel guy and most upprade there turbo and the one that they have left that was stock is a killer turbo here is dyno of one of these turbo's on a 1.8VW20V motor at 20 or 22 psi on pump gas looks like pretty good and cheap turbo to me

Ya my HX35 was puking oil from the compressor inlet, so i figured that the seal was bad, but at the same time, i had a B16 in the car with a extremely blown head gasket. Cause as soon as i put my LS back in the oil leaking stopped. So what i figured was that it was blowing compression down into the crankcase and that was keeping oil from being able to drain properly. So with oil coming in and not being able to get out, it was being shoved through the seal. Does that make sense?

TTT would it be possible to drill the holes on your housings, to bolt a H1E on fully instead of having two not bolted up? And you say your coming out with new housings. Are these going to have dual bolt patterns like how you might have a 4/5 lug wheel?

Thanks.

Hi

I haven't yet seen a HX40 , have quite a few HX35w's and large four HY55V's

I had troubles finding exhaust exit flanges for my HX35w , and just by chance i found some guy selling them on ebay

I order 5 before christmas and they just arrived the other day from America to Australia

Just finished surface grinding them for a perfaect flat finish , prevent gaskets blowing out

Here is a link to a site that i'm a member and it is free to jion , this is my little poject EA FALCON SEDAN - V8 351 cleveland C10 auto TwinTurbo http://www.fordmods.com/forums....html

How do you post pictures on this website ?

The holes you are talking about drilling. I am guessing you are taking about the ones that hold the center section to the tubine housing. I can not on these new housings. The have bosses casted into them so there is not alot of room to move them. I do have the clamps to match the turbine housings.

Also on the 4/5 bolt pattern turbine housings. If there would be enough people interested in the .55 a/r stainless housings I can get some made.
