If using a hx35 with a divivded flange, do you have to use a divided flange on the manifold as well? sorry if its a stupid question. TIA

no you dont have time to use a divided flange on the manifold. but a divided setup will spool it a little faster from what ive seen. i will be running a normal manifold on mine on mine though

so along with having this problem ive also been told that itll be in my best interest to just put mesh over the inlet instead of a filter which im extremely hesitant on doing

i prefer to run a filter there's no telling what could get sucked through but theres a consensus of other people saying that its just going to be another restriction and its going to take longer for my b16 to spool it, however imo a good air filter isnt very restrictive, just wanting to hear some other peoples opinions that are actually running these

mine spins at idle and i have the big back housing.. i also have a top mount manifold though so that may make a difference...

my HE351CW spins at idle (bone stock b16a) but its not very fast at all. I think your fine. Also, I dont have the room in my setup to run a big filter, so I just have a mesh over it from XENOCRON... seems to work pretty well, but I do understand that people will suck up dirt. etc.

I am putting together a turbo build on my GSR and I am just looking for what you guys think...I daily drive it so I do not want to push it too hard, also it has a stock bottom end.

Current mods:

Brian Crower stage 2 all motor cams
Supertech Dual wound springs and retainers
port and polished head
EPROM ecu tuned by Phearable.net
ACL main and rod bearings
ARP headstuds
MSD Blaster Coil
Blox intake manifold
Exedy OEM clutch
Jasper S80 open diff racing trans
DC sport header
all new gaskets by felpro & Honda
Walboro 255 fuel pump

Turbo build:

log style cast mani
off-brand wg and bov
intercooler...unsure of size, but medium size i would say
AEM wideband
Hx35 7-blade

I am looking to push around 8psi, do you think that would be safe/worth it on this turbo...

Also, what size injectors would you guys suggest, I do not want to push it over 300hp and would rather stick to maybe 250-300hp...550cc-750cc?

Thanks everyone

I see all these builds using a log mani with a Holset. I understand the whole budget concept, but a decent mini-ram will make such a huge difference, the additional cost is a no brainer. just my .02
