Ebay quality.....actauly, its a good manifold since i did some bracing, and especialy now that i have a 50lb holset hangin off it. I just got back from takin it out and railin on it a bit, and all i can say is WOW. It does spool later, but HOLE-E-****, youde think 10psi is 10psi no matter what turbo it comes from, but that turbo definatly pulls waaaay harder up top. And according to the wideband it needs more fuel now, it was at 11.4-11.8 all the way up and now its 12.0-12.4. so theres definatly more air being forced in. I dont know how, but its nice. I love it. Well worth what i paid for it....zip, zero, nadda.

hahaha welcome to the world of holsets...get it past 10psi > 15psi and it wakes up even more! Id say 12-13psi is about where the boost pressure increases have much greater response...aka anything over 13psi is going to be a night and day difference in power levels vs sub 12psi

and psi is psi....but then thing you noticing now is that the holset flows a **** ton more

That's freakin impressive! Very nice 400 on 17psi and on a mustang dyno??? Wtf ? I am geeked just thinking about that! You're running an hx40? That's pretty big bro when do you hit full boost? I have a hx30 and hx35 I think I'm going to run a hx 30 on my h22 hatch, because of how fast I'm hearing the spool, and I'm only shooting for 300-340hp idk though we will see. Nice work though!

run the hx35...it flows a bit more and spool differences will be minimal...the hx30 i think will come in too soon and cause tons of traction problems...id say a hx35 w/ a 16cm housing

I can't get the holset website to come up and want some info on part # 3538881.

I'm interested in this auction. Can anyone tell me about this turbo? Thanks.

Oh my god sex, and the spool up on that sounds like music to my ears very nice man! I ran into a problem I'm going to run top mount and on my turbo the drain is facing upwards, would I need to undo the 4 bolts on the exhaust side and rotate it since the intake side has the v clamp!

Cause there at 20+ psi and most of us have stock motors that would get smashed on 20psi from a HX35 You could get crafty and make it adjustable via threading it or something similar but i my self prefer external.

Anyone have any secret sites with good deals on Holset turbos or different wheel/housing options???
I'm in the market for an HX35 and can't find anything used, much less new at a remotely decent price...

start calling local diesel shops and asking...just dont tell them your putting it on a honda...ive gotten hung up a few times on being called a ricer etc...

just say you have a dodge truck and you holset turbo craped out and your looking for a used replacement...or start trolling dodge forums as many upgrade their hx35's to much bigger setups etc

otherwise you stuck to whats posted on egay...

Thats awesome...I hope I come across something like that

My setup consists of an 84x89mm gsr block, pauter rods, endyn pistons, ported head, full valve train, top mount mani, 4''dp to 3'' exhaust, sheet metal(velocity stack) intake mani, blah blah blah...
I want to have 550whp this season, I'm thinking that a HX40 compressor housing mated with an HX35 14cm exhaust housing would be perfect? Can anyone back this up or give me a better idea?
Thanks in advance

With your setup I would say just go with a straight HX40. You have the displacement and setup to make big power.

I would have you think about the HX40 in the T3 .70 a/r 3" v-band outlet.
