well just the size of the turbo assebly, i held it up just jokin around on my b16, and it took up alot of room. but im readin through this, long list of pages, so be patient. but the turbo i have, the wastegates stuck shut. thats why we took it off our dodge in the first place and got a bigger one on there. now i would have to remove my a/c on my car to make that turbo fit wouldnt i? and also, if i were to put it on, would that turbo be to big for stock internals?? i guess i havent read far enough into this yet, and getting anxious.

Wellll, with the reading I've been doing, you should be well over 20 psi and to hit that 450 number, you will be fairly close to going out of the efficency range of the turbo.

My tuning experience would seem to differ. I've yet to max out a HX35 or HY35, but I wouldn't sweat 450whp at all.

i'm with dave here. On my old setup before it dropped a valve, pistons/rods lsvtec stock head i made 428whp after only 3 pulls on the dyno this was all on 19psi when i pulled it in on the dyno it made 360whp on that same boost amazing what a little timing can do! my next setup is an holset HX52 with a 16cm exhaust housing should be fun on the new motor, look a couple pages back for a size comparison i posted between the hx 52 and 35

i have a connect through a friend at the dodge dealership, said he MAY be able to get me one for free, though i don't know how he'll sneak THIS out in his pocket..

i'm in need of an HX35, twin scroll .. i'd like to have the ported or "anti-surge" intake shroud, and a v band exhaust shroud.. anyone know specifically what years or even which motors these came off of??

That's cool to hear. On a gsr, what kind of psi did it take to hit 425-475? I'm having to go by pretty much what I read until I get to buy more parts and install.

I've yet to see SOHC Holset timeslips or dyno numbers anywhere.

Just to give you an idea a h1c made 202 whp at 11 psi on my non intercooled stock d15.

Its running in my eagle/vitara motor right now, still at 11 psi. Will up to 20 when tuned.

It is a little laggy but you're right it doesn't suck. Winter has come here so the car is away, I never got a chance to get it on the dyno.

I was thinking of doing the bullseye housing on the HX35 but I'm not sure if it would actually be all that different from an HY35 in the end.

Does it feel slower now than it did with the old motor?

I recently had my Holset HX35 powered F22A6 SOHC Accord tuned. Stock block, stock head port, custom E.L. manifold, 3" downpipe no exhaust, etc etc etc.

Made 402whp/325wtq, with a gnarly boost spike across the powerband up to 20psi. I got a bigger wastegate so then we'll be able to tune the powerband and control boost a little more efficiently.

Feels about the same. Maybe a bit less responsive.
But it spools up quicker and just feels like there more torque in the midrange.

I just added a fmic to the setup today. Feels like **** in 1st gear now.
