This is the oil plumbing for the HX35. All the fittings are straight thread with an O-ring. Not sure if the honda block has this style of thread.

This here is the EXHAUST OUTLET V-Band clamp. It will fit the HX35 turbo, along with the elbow.

The V-Band clamp is $23.09.

While the whole turbo (HX35) Costs you $816.78.

Thats for a Holset Remanufactured unit. (Includes all O-rings and turbo oil drain gasket)
The turbo comes with a ONE YEAR WARRANTY NATIONWIDE!! So you can go to ANY Cummins dealer and get a replacement if anything ever happens.

A local guy supposedly has build a HX35/HX55 hybrid for some of the diesel turbo guys looking to compete (presumably illegally) in "stock" turbo events. I believe he said he used the wheels/shaft/center section from the HX55 and machined the housings to fit the larger wheels.

I'd still be interested if the HX40 wheel could be swapped onto a HX35 shaft.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Dave,

I know that a hx35/hx40 is possible. I msg'd a guy by the name of "bladetwister" on ebay, he said that he could make one for $500. This was a about a year ago though. Said he could do "In the dark with his good eye closed" or somethin like that.

Hey man I wanna thank you for the incredibly informative pm's you gave me about Bisi. I especially like the way you set me to ignore when I was just asking an honest question. Way to be a grown up and help a guy out.

BTW, I have spoken with him and he will be tuning my car here shortly.

The Turbo Trader.

Page 67 has the link. They are also on ebay.

FYI: hx35 turbine housings fit h1c's.

Great thread, lots of info.

I'm curious roughly which holset would work for my setup. I'm looking to boost ls with 7500-8000 anticipated redline, stock compression and want a turbo that will support 600 whp on race tune, and 400-450 on pump tune. From what I can tell the hx35 or 40 would support this kind of power range depending on wheel, comp, turbine housings, right? Any pointers on which combo would be good for my peak goals? Not too worried about lag fyi thanks in advance

Since we have VW on this page we might as well have BMW too.

MY 75 running on Meagasquirt

Holset snail, you bet, HX30 ( I know small by your guys standards, but works well for me )

Stock block and head with a Cometic HG, I ran a log in 3rd today and here are the #s on how it works.

6psi at 2500
7psi at 3000
9psi at 4000
11psi at 5000
14psi at 5600, and then I shifted.

I still have the WG rod a little long until I get the forged goodness motor built.

AF are 11.5 across the board under boost ( did the pull in 3rd ), I'd like to lean it to 12 to 12.5 under boost, cruise ( off boost ) is 14-15 AFR.

It's running really nice right now. Fun as hell to drive and feels nothing like a turbo motor ( as you can see by the boost log )
