Hey guys.
I noticed a holset section while im trying to get some info on what turbo to use on my ls-v set up. stock bore 9 to 1 comp. trying to run about 14 psi.
What exhaust housing do you guys think would be the right one to spool the turbo faster?

BTW: I work at a cummins dealership... I have access to the online parts catalog from them... as you know cummins owns holset... so if you ever need any info on a turbo, just let me know and ill try to find as much info as i can... i can even tell you prices, from v-band flanges, oil fittings, to the turbos... let me know if i can help...

I am having the hardest time finding a good oil feed for my h1c. I have a stealthmode oil line kit that Ive used on my t3, now I want to switch to my holset and I cant find a m12x1.5 to -3 fitting. Ive seen the fitting to a -4 at summit but that wont fit my oil feed line. Am I stuck going to a turbo shop and buying the stock cummins oil feed?

Does anyone have any definate information about making hybrid Holsets?

Turbos I'd be interested in if possible:
HY35 / HX40 Compressor wheel
HX35 / HX40 Compressor wheel
HX35 / HX50 Compressor wheel
HX35 / HX55 compressor wheel

A local guy supposedly has build a HX35/HX55 hybrid for some of the diesel turbo guys looking to compete (presumably illegally) in "stock" turbo events. I believe he said he used the wheels/shaft/center section from the HX55 and machined the housings to fit the larger wheels.

I'd still be interested if the HX40 wheel could be swapped onto a HX35 shaft.

Ok. Ill definately go with the 12 than.
About the turbo stuff you guys are asking. The only issue I have is that I need to know where those turbos came out off. I know the HX35 came out of the 6BT and some ISB's in certain years. But for the HX40, HX50, I need to know where they came out off. Maybe a dodge pick-up? If you let me know what year, whether manual or auto, I can find out.

Now this is a layout for the HX35. I can get most of the parts you see here:

Let me know which numbers you need.

The HX35 uses an "O" ringed stright thread fitting whith an "O" ring on the top also.
I believe you have to use the Cummins oil line along with the fitting to make it work. I can get you the fitting for the oil inlet.

Ok so I've read through tooo many damn pages its starting to make my eyes hurt. Anyway here are some questions:

I'm planning on building a D16z6(Eagle Rods, ACL Bearings, Polished Crank, 9:1/9.5:1 Wiseco Pistons .020 Over, PnP Head, Crower Stg 2 Turbo Cam, Cam Gear, etc) and running a Holset HX35 w/ 14cm Housing. With a Ramhorn style mani, 2.5" or 3" Charge piping, and a 44mm Tial what could I expect hp wise and spool time?

Thanks for any & all help

After ~2 weeks will post the results from fully built H series(CP, Pouter...) with Holset HX35 and KKK K26 exhaust side. New engine, need to brake in.

Will keep it update.
