Turbocalculator with Holset compressormaps;

http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/

HX35 has 60/69mm turbinewheel and HX40 64/76mm turbinewheel.

Data from Holset dealer:

HX30
Compressor: 68mm or 72mm.
Turbine: 8 - 10 cm2

HX35
Compressor: 77mm or 82mm.
Turbine: 12 - 18 cm2

HX40
Compressor: 82mm or 85mm.
Turbine: 20+ cm2

inducer size
68mm = 38->46mm
72mm = 42->54mm
78mm = 46->56mm
82mm = 46->60mm
85mm = 50->60mm

All of the above go in 2mm increments.

Im wondering how my HX35 16cm will do on a B16. I had it on the b20 and at 17psi it came in hard and put me in the seat at about 4000rpm. Did a 12.4@121 spinning 1st 2nd and 3rd. I wanna try to put about 15psi on the b16, but a little worried about the lag, and its also gonna have the B16 short geared tranny compared to the LS. Any input?

I was already top of 4th 7200rpm (B20) 15' from the line so i was coasting or rev limiter or try for 5th on the ls tranny. I figure im gonna have to work on getting into 5th with the b16 tranny at 14 or so psi

A local tuner suggested I look into a holset turbo for my built d16z6. Not sure if he said hx35 or hy35. Does anyone know where I can get an accurate compressor map for either?

For what you're going for you'll probably need an HX35 with the 12 or maybe 14cm exhaust housing....the best site that i've ever seen for compressor maps for Holset's is here
http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/
someone posted that a few posts up....
for some good prices on Holset upgrades and info I posted up alot of links on the last page or so..

Saw it, I have doubts that the hx35 map there is accurate. Does anyone know if it's the real deal or not?

And I haven't seen an hy35 map at all.

FROM WHAT I HEAR ON THE DODGE FORUM, IS THAT THE HY-35 IS THE SAME AS THE HX-35!! THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE HY-35 CHOKES OUT AFTER 29 PSI!! BUT HAS A SMALLER EXHAUST HOUSING FOR FAST SPOOLING ON THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION!! DUE TO EMISSION!
THE HX-35 IS GOOD TO ABOUT 35 PSI BEFORE IT CHOKES OUT ,BUT TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME TO SPOOL UP !!

So the compressor maps for the two should be different right?

more or less same compressor, different turbine housing. I might take a look at holset hx35 variant.
