I guess this is the reason the BEP housings are so popular.</TD></TR></TABLE>

i stated this a bit earlier in the thread i think, but i run a hx35w w/a 14cm2 exh(wastegateless) i start seeing boost by about 4g and get 12lbs by about 4500rpm. this is on a 1.8l ls/vtec w/a stock cam'd b16a head.

I just like good throttle response... That is why I usually go with the smaller A/R housings. The big turbine wheels of the Holset allow for good flow on the top end.

I want a highway beast and full boost by 6.5k revving to 7k. lol j/k. I'm still looking for a 12cm2 housing. From the looks of it the 9cm2 will die up top.

good throttle response...hell i step on it in any gear and within seconds im at full-song...i just think its pointless to choke down the housing when your already seeing decent spool times...

That is why I recommend a 44mm wastegate with the smaller turbine housing. The oversized wastegate will allow the backpressure to come down considerably. I have seen around a 15-25% drop in backpressure in going from a 38mm to the 44mm and the HP went up about 5-10% too.

On a map that i was playing around with. I have to go back and complete the final tune. This pull was at 18psi and the A/F were still in the 10's with 1000cc injectors and excessive timing pulled to be safe.

The lower graph was the run i did at 10psi to give a difference on how much of a power difference there is with an 8psi increase.

Ill post build specs later, but speedave knows me and knows the build. its a LSVtec built, with a Holset HY35 and Trust 50mm wastegate.

until next time...

Sry, i should mention that in the civic, shell you can really see the turbo anymore with the way the dump runs for the wastegate, however below is a pic of the stove in my crx shell before it decided to meet a hwy barrier.

You can see the turbo nicely hanging around and having a good time there.

What color is that? nice numbers. Another question, Why are you running conservative timing and afr's on a built motor?

Why so rich? I would guess that is really hurting your power. Looks like you did ~238whp @10psi. I did 315whp @11psi and I know that it is a fairly conservative tune as well. No cam gear adjustments made, 3" exhaust w/cat, hy35 as well. Nonetheless, I bet its a fun car to drive.
