Nope. Run it!!
Nope. Run it!!
Hey guys just thought I would post up a few upgrades that I made in my bay recently. I recently got an LM-1 and noticed that I was leaning out on top, so I though it might be because my wg was dumping directly in my bay. Then later I found some oil in my charge pipes so I thought I might have to much oil flow as the turbo was fresh when I got it and I haven't been running it that long. I work night shift sometimes so we have some extra time to kill and I decided to make myself a dump tube and a new oil feed line. Here are the picts. No laughing at my welds!!! This is the first time I have ever used a TIG.
Dump Tube.....

Feed Line.....

I know how much shane likes my pictures so I'm whorin' it up for him!!!

Thanks man.
It's two pieces because we didn't have a long enough 1/4 single peice of tubing at my work. I figure it will be good if I ever decide to put an orifice in there. I was told I can put a 1/16" orifice and the turbo will be fine. Maybe I'll make another one in one complete piece when we get some more of that ss tubing. Swagelok FTMFW!!!!

Does anyone know if the h1C sounds anything like a hx35 or hy35? Im looking for 300whp and NOTHING MORE...so i don't need the huge hx35, but i sure do like the cool *** jet engine sound the hx35/hy make!!!!
If this is a comparasion of a H1C and a Garet 57 Trim. why wouldn't this fit on a log sytle mani (drag, inline pro...ect) The H1c is even a little smaller than the garret 57 trim.

the thing is it would fit
but if your looking for 300 and no more...id run a hx30 personally...the bigger comp/turbine in the hc1 & hx35 is overkill....but if you want to leave some room for growth...the hy35/9cm housing would be your best bet

I was thinking i could either go with a h1c/with a garret 5bolt discharge ex housing. or a Hx30. But i am having trouble finding out where the hx30 comes from. I'm currently searching google.
Also, how does the hx30 compare in size to a regular 5 trim turbo?

ok, ive been searching for about 3 hours now. But i can't find what vehicle/machine the hx30 came off of. the only thing that i have found is that it came off the 3.9l Dodge truck. Anyone else have any info on this subject?

you can swap housings are you postive about this...i dont think the wheel design of the holset would allow this...

Well, i read a thread and saw pics of a guy who swapped out a hx40 turbine housing with a .48ar garret. Thats right, thats not a typo! A .48ar garret!!! it looked lopsided but he said it worked for what he wanted and spool wasn't too bad. However he kept complaining about surging the turbo. go figure.
