I cant believe this thread is still going, wow. My buddy started it a long time ago with the intention to use the Holset HY35W to turbo his integra...well, I now have his DA, and his HY35W. lol...

Anyway, Im not any closer

I have so far:
HY35
greddy type-s bov
t-bolt clams and couplers
stealth mode oil line kit
4" vband
4" downpipe
4 to 3" reducer
3" elbow for downpipe
DSM 450cc injectors

and a couple random things that I cant remember.

Im waiting on the motor im buying to be rebuilt.
specs:
usdm b18c1
Benson sleeved
Eagle rods
SRP pistons
stock head

My dad and I thought it spun a rod-bearing(heard loud knocking sound), so I didnt buy it. I said I would buy it after he put new bearings in and checked for rod and crank damage. Turns out...nothing is wrong with the motor, lol! So yea...he still has to put new bearing in, and it will be good to go! I cant wait

Anyone run an HY35 on an LS/VTEC? What did it perform like? I'm worried the exhaust housing will be too small and choke the engine.

A Holset choking a 1.8L Honda motor doesn't seem likely... What size turbine housing on the HY?

The HY's usually have a 9cm housing on them.

it will choke it down a bit on the power side....and the turbo will be less laggy than a 12cm housing...although this might cause traction problems since boost onset hits very hard even w./ my 12cm housing

well expletive, anybody want to buy the following:

Greddy Type-S BOV
4" V-band setup
4" 90deg elbow
4-3" reducer
3" 90deg elbow

HOLSET HY35W. Needs to be cleaned up a bit, but it has no shaft play. I store it inside my house, just to let you guys know.

Everything for 550 bucks, let me know something.

i can tell you just by lookin at it thats def not a 14cm housing...maybe a 16 or 18...16's were the smallest a hx40 came in from the factory if i recall from talkin to the holset engineer

i was mistaken. 16 is the smallest like you said. it hasnt came in the mail yet guess i will find out soon. hopefuly it is a 16cm. because its going on a b16, if i hit full boost by 5500 ill be happy. 180 shipped not a bad deal!
