That's what I'm using on a vitara build with a zex 58300... Only thing different than
most guys is I'm using a twin scroll manifold so hopefully it'll spool faster... Well see soon

I took the fitting from the Fastturbo kit and one from the turbo to a diesel shop and asked if they had a reducer/adapter to join them. No... but the guy hacked a piece off of one and brazed the two together in 5 minutes.

its not equal length but for my power goals (400-500) itll flow better than a log, and spool better than a ramhorn, and that's what i wanted... its an 8 blade HX35 btw..

nah its not rcautowerks.. it will be if i ever have another one made though.. I wont give any credit to the guy that did it because i've got compliments on it, and i would hate to send other people to him just to get screwed like i did.. took 9 months and a "lost" turbo before i got this back, and now i have to spend more money to get the two wastegate flanges cut off and rewelded because they wont fit with the turbo's compressor housing, which is the whole reason i sent him the turbo in the first place.. and not to mention the #1 cylinder top stud had to be shortened just to fit the manifold on, and the piping is done is such a way that a nut wont fit on, so i either have to have the whole #1 runner fixed, or run it without a nut..

trying to clock the center section, do all of the bolts need to be out for it to turn or just the metal ring that the bolts go through? not the snap ring, the two peice ring that the bolts go through on the exhaust side.. one bolt is seized and the center section wont turn...

Yes you do have to loosen all 4 bolts, even then the housing may not want to clock/turn. Mine did not want to anyways....i took a torch to the housing to heat it up and it came right off.

Hi Guys,

I can get a hold of a brandnew Holset HX35W Turbo.

How would it work on the following setup, aiming for 500/600hp

H22a Engine
- Darton Sleeves
- Arias pistons (9,5:1)
- Custom rods
- ARP head bolts
- ARP main bolts
- Overhauled head
- Ferrea valves
- Supertech valves and retainers

D/P 4" Exhaust 3"

Any dyno's or other information is welcome.

Check which version of the HX35 you can get - you'll need the 7 blade compressor to make over 500 whp. A HX40 or HX40 Pro might be a better bet since you have 2.2l and will be more efficient on the top end because of the bigger turbine !

On a efficient setup a HX40 (60lb/min) can maje close to your 600whp goal otherwise the Pro will have more flow which should get you to 600whp easier !

The HX35 7 blade should make a really responsive 500 whp on your H22 (provided the turbo manifold is a divided firing order setup)
