The 9cm housing is an HY35.

I would try and stick with the 12cm. Since it has such a small compressor wheel.

what are the different compressor sizes for the hx35. I dont care about lag because its a drag car. so full boost at 5500 wont kill me. thanks

They are all 56mm as far as i know. There is a 7 blade and 8 blade.

I was reaching full boost on a built B20 around 5500 It ended up making 420whp around 22-23psi.

My setup is finally up and running. pulls like a ****. right around 18psi or so(broken gauge and tuner is out of town but he said it was safe to turn up to 20). Cant wait to put it on the dyno. I think my 2.5in full exhaust is holding me back a bunch but we will see. I'll up load some pics later or something.

but I have a new oil leak and can not figure out where its coming from. has nothing to do with turbo parts though. think its oil pan gasket. =( have kind of **** vid on youtube from my friends camera. just type in holset d16 and vid 1 imo is the best one.

LSD is amazing. I have no tire spin at all with some **** tires too

vids dont do any justice besides my scared little brother. its around 17psi and hooks(thanks LSD ) its tuned but when my tuner gets back we are going to bump it up to around 22 and dyno tune it. I really want 350whp. but I think my 2.5in exhaust may hold me back....

yea sometimes they get stuck pretty good. Spray it with WD40 or pb blaster. some sort of lube. and grab a hammer and tap it outwards. like on the inside edge of the exhaust housing. just keep hitting it harder and harder till it breaks looks then tap it free all around. careful of your fans though no big deal I have a chip in one of my fans and another is bent so I think you will be fine.

this is true, i heated mine up after soaking it in pb for awhile then went to town with a hammer. wouldnt budge so i got a little mad and then it came off haha. no damage though and ive been running it ever since.

i think you missed the joke, since LS has a comp of 9.2:1 and c5 is 10.5, not that the turbo will be the problem, its compression along with boost which will further increase comp, causing the boom he was talking about! lol.

it all depends on the tune. higher comp does make it easier to detonate but it can be tuned and not detonate. they are just a different platform.

I have a he351vgt turbo the turbo has coolant passages that seem to cool the vgt servo. i am not running the vgt servo so do you think i would be ok with out running coolant to the turbo.
