It's cast aluminum. The wheels have nothing to do with it. The vgt system is what makes it spool so fast.
Although holsets turbine wheels are very fluidly dynamic. If that made sense lll

yeah i know the vgt makes it spool very quick. holsets spool faster than other turbos there size. I wish i could run the vgt it was just to big for my f2b setup and i can spool a hx35/hx40 fast any way. I use a 18cm housing on my f22 and could have full boost by 5000 rpms.

Well, the 7 bladed wheels weigh less, but holsets turbine wheel is scarily efficient, more so than garretts matching counterpart, and their bearing systems are much stronger.
I'm still doing research, mockup and what not. Hopefully my retarded idea will work

Yup, bigger bearings = more support.
If holset ever released a BB CHRA I think the results would be impressive, almost BW EFR impressive, minus the compressor wheels and housings lol

hey could someone do me a huge favor and measure the compressor outlet to see what size of vband that i will need?
mine is stuck in my storage shed and its way to cold here in the midwest to play around outside haha

hahahai bet u it did a great job... hey guys i had a simple question, its been covered yet i just wanna make sure.. some people were using the jegs Fitting, Adapter, AN Flare to Metric, -4 AN to 12mm x 1.5 Male... i wanted to order this but i wanna know if u guys used a restrictor when using this, because i found another one just like the jegs one but it comes with a 1.5mm oil restrictor... what would u guys recommend me getting.. all help will be appreciate it.. i will be running an 7 blade hx35w on an ls..
every single turbo car sounds the same? wow didnt know that.
dsm's run higher oil pressure then hondas do. since most/if not all hondas factory oil pumps have a relief set at 80 psi IIRC i would imagine it will be ok.

Im going to run a 0.0625 (also a .065) restrictor on my HX40. trust me ive been studying a lot of peoples mistakes and they all lead to issues because of not running restrictors... The GT turbos run a .030" restrictor and the all journal turbos run .065" ON -4AN lines.
just food for thought. But everyone has different opinions. if you wanna run a turbo with no restrictor then thats fine by me. Im doing it because everyone has different experiences and I know many people with different turbos not all the same but all are in honda's and acura's a friend of mine blew a brand new turbonetics t3/t4 journal with out a restrictor. also blew a t70 t3 no restrictor and also blew a garret t3/t4 no restrictor. other hx35 which is a decently big turbo got blown by many guys on here on honda tech. asking around. ask your tuners. ask people that blew **** up lol. also the line was always an issue when its a -4AN.

A 4an feedline is too big for a journal bearing turbo anyways. You should be fine with a holset and a 3an line with no restrictor
