okay ran into an issue with my setup. My manifold positions the charger too close to the block to utilize the V-Band downpipe plate meaning I need to go the old fashioned way and weld the downpipe straight to a plate and then bolt that in place of the V-Band one. Where can I get a plate that would work for this? Has anyone else had this problem? Here's the pic of my manifold so you can kind of get an idea of whats going on.

That's a silencer ring. You can leave it in or pop it out if you want to hear the 'action' a lot more.

What's the price on one of those plates? I may need one for my HX35..welding cast iron doesn't appeal to me so much.

Hey, I just started looking into holset turbos, and my friend is selling an HE341. What turbo would that compare to and what would I be looking at for spool time on a D16. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, looking to slam a Holset on my built z6 for the summer. I am looking for an HY35 in good shape. Is there somebody on here that sells them or knows a good place to buy a remanufactured one? I am in Nova Scotia, Canada and these turbos prove to be very difficult to find around here. Thanks.

I bought an H1c couple years back that looks NIB. It was in a Holset box, looks like a warranty part or something. I can wiggle the wheel in the housing a little. Is this normal since it's new/reman or whatever? Seems unlikely that it is faulty by the condition of it ...new sealed pack of gaskets in the box, etc., I mean it looks New.

Hey, GARAGE 808 HATCH, .. What size exhaust housing is that in the pic?
Those are some good numbers you have there!!

Ive just sent my turbo HX40 Away to have a 1.00 A/R exhaust housing put on to it as I decided a 16cm housing was a bit too big.

Pretty sure you've got a FAKE turbo there.

Did you buy it from this guy:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...1%7C240%3A1318

Run your mouse pointer over it... it says xspower.

More info here regarding fakes:

Thought I'd share since you guys lag a little in info.

hey im new to the holset game. I have a jdm b16 with gsr cams and arp head studs. Im looking for a turbo that spools at 5000-5700rpm. Im looking to get over 300whp out of it on a 50/50 mix of 93 pump and 104 race gas. But ill have a built b16 with pistons and rods and comp of 8.3 to 1 very soon with a fully built head. I've been looking at the hx35 and hx40 and I was wondering which one could I get for both the stock and the built motor. On the built setup im looking to get over 400whp on the 50/50 mix. Also what vehicles can I get these turbos off. other parts i got for it r

2.5" intercooler piping with rs bov
28x12x2.5 intercooler
Muetec b16 turbo t3 manifold
tial 38mm wastegate if needed
780cc precision injectors
str fuel rail
aem fpr
65mm tb
old school skunk2 im
mfactory sandwich plate
all oil lines for t3(not shure if these will work on holsets)
chipped p06 converted to vtec
will fab up a 3 or 4" dp

Keep in mind the car is a track only car and will rev to 9k on built motor if needed.(1/4 mile) Thanks

I have a built b16 w/ 9:1 pistons and the HX35. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone wanting a good street car because of the 5k rpm spool. My last turbo was a t3/t04e 57 trim and it spooled around 3k rpm, which is awesome for driving in traffic. HOWEVER, you want 5k spool and massive top end, so it would be optimal for you.
