so help me out here, let me know if i have things right i want to make 550whp or more, but can i do it with a hx35 with a 12cm^2 turbine, and when i go about buying a hx35 doesnt matter if its wastegated becaused i can buy a non-wastegated turbine from htturbo and make it external, and thats all i need to do right, i dont need to weld any wastegates shut since im changing housings. Any help would be greatly appreciated! and whats up with this fake holset thing how do you know if your getting the real deal thanks a lot

 

Any info on the H1D? Just picked one up quite reasonable and am hoping it will work ok.

 

H1C has a huge turbine.. most have 18cm^2.. you won't even spool that thing without anti-lag and decent hp

 

don't worry about the gate on the housing. just remove the actuator and tack weld the flapper shut

 

oh arite does it come with a 12cm^2 turbine tho, so it doesnt matter which holset as long as its a hx35 right,i get or am i missing something? should i be looking at for something when buying when to make sure its not fake and is there a place that i can get one for sure. thanks !!

I have plans on building a 2L LSv/GSR soon. I'm looking at the HY35 and the HX35. I have searched all over and am having trouble finding dynos and any solid info pertaining to Hondas. I Plan on Running in the neighborhood of 450 HP. The Main components of the build are:

Gsr Block
Micropolished/balanced LS Crank
9:1
B16 Head with GSR cams and mild port and polish
VictorX IM

Would I be able to hit around 450-500hp doing 20-22 PSI on the HY35 or should I just go for the HX35.

Also another question, does anyone know how the spool difference is between the HX35 and HX35/40? I'd prefer something that spools between 4000-5000.

 

I would say just go with the HX35. The hy will choke up around 400whp, plus you'll have room to grow with the HX35. I'm running it on a B16A and it spools great for having a big housing on it. I've just recently found a few boost leak issues, and love it even more now. You should be making 500whp at 22psi really easy.

 

anybody using the Bullseye housings on the HX35? If you are where'd you get it and how can I? Got pics?

ive got a H1C that i feel like running but has the damn 18cm exhaust housing. Could anyone tell me a good place to find a 9cm or 12cm on the cheap? thanks

 

just put a hx35 on my d16. it actually spools alot faster than i thought it would.

 

how do you know what turbine it is? any stamps ect?

usually somewhere on the exhaust housing it says 16cm2 18.5cm2, etc.....


my 18.5cm2 h1c spools perfect on my stock ls motor, the short gearing of the b16 trans helps though. full boost (12psi) around 4k.

it starts building boost around 4000-4500 and full boost a little after 5000.i had a t3/t4 57 trim on it before and i thought the hx35 was gonna be laggy as hell compared to it,but its not im very happy with it. now i just need a clutch..

 

So it bolted right up to that cast manifold with out any problems? clearance ok?

ya bolted right up the hx35 and my manifold are both t3.. i just had to modify my downpipe.no videos as of right now but ill post some up within the next week when i get a clutch.

I actually just bought one of these about a month ago. Havent put it on my d16 yet, but the guy I bought it off, made about 330 whp on about 22-23 psi. But I will try to post my number soon as I get it on.
