I think I need to do a valve adjusment on my B16A1 (all stock internals) but I have never done one before. I watched a friend do one on my old A20A3 but that is entirely different. From the searching I have done I have found that the clearance should be anywhere from about .006 to .009 intake and exhaust. I have seem topics on how to make your own tool. I have also seen a couple of different places to measure it from. So I have all this information fumbling around in my head but I don't know exactly which is right or wrong.

So if there is anyone that could give me a simple break down of the process with the correct information that would be great.

Also I know each piston has to be at TDC when doing the adjustment. Is there a certain order of which I have to adjust them in or could I just go from left to right?

Money is a huge issue that is why I am doing it myslef plus I really enjoy working on my car and I am trying to learn something new. Heck I just did a camber adjusment on the back wheels last night using some washers . May not seem like much to alot of you here but the sence of pride I get is really gratifying.

That is very help full thank you. I have heard people mention a c-speed site but never was able to find the entire url so I could actually check it out. Another thing is the firing order says 1-3-4-2 with piston #1 being nearest the distributor or farthest away?
