Function and Form coilover thread
what a nightmare...installed the fronts with no issues...the rear shoulda been a 30min job and ended up taking 2 whole days...
rear end was a bitchhh...first..left side strut bolt broke off...then right side strut bolt seized...decided to go with plan b...remove entire LCA with struts still attached...all but 1 LCA bolt came off...spent a whole day drilling...then finally cut the bolt off at its end and where the bushing is...had to order new LCAs...
*will have pics as soon as i can throw the rear functions on w/the new LCAs...i took her for a drive with just the fronts lowered...rode smooth as hell and no noise or squeaks...

He could be right man. There's maaadd threads showing! It's worth a try to thread the shock in a little to see if there's any difference.
cause the top collars and spring are the preload. according to the instructions, to lower the car to desire height, move the lower collar up and twist the whole lower portion up.
just to make it easy to understand

when i say remove shock from the Lower Control Arm i mean remove the bolt that holds the coilover to the LCA
then you move up the red thing its the only way to lower and raise your function forms correctly
DO NOT ADJUST THE TOP OF YOUR COILOVER YOU WILL MESS UP YOUR PRELOAD SETTINGS AND MAKE THEM STIFF OR SOFT AND BOUNCY

you dont need to remove the LCA bolt. just grab the 2 upper collars together and spin toward whatever height you want. the whole unit should spin.
read the instructions you guys.

Taking out the LCA bolt all the time isnt good. But thats a lot of work to adjust height. All you gotta do is spin the top perch, it is locked with the other perch so they spin the together with the shock, youre not actually changing the preload like that. To change the preload you would have to twist one clockwise and the other counterclockwise until they unlock from one another.
