Boosted, or I guess anyone with lines under the car... any concerns with the exhaust being near the fuel line?? assuming the line is run up the tunnel, not really sure where else to run it without it being on just a flat part of the under-carriage. The temperature of the exhaust near it concerns me a little.
Looks like she almost back together!

Yeah, I am concerned it gets snagged on something not being in the tunnel area.. but also concerned of exhaust temps next to the line.. decisions, decisions... may make it easy and just flare the oem line to speed things up for now.
Oil - Royal Purple 20w/50 (10w/30 in my coupe)! I'm surprised how many run Mobile 1. On the street I'm sure it's fine, but on track I was burning 1/2 a quart a session!
Brake fluid - Ate Super Blue/Typ 200 (1/2 the cost of Motul...and when I ran motul, that **** was eating my brake lines and turning the fluid black. So weird)
Clutch (if you converted) - When I had it converted I used good 'ol Honda brake fluid. I use Honda in my coupe
Transmission - Redline MTF in both cars equipped with OEM ITR LSDs
Coolant - OEM Honda, no additives
I don't run any other additives in the motor oil. I really don't believe in any of that stuff. Occasionally I will run some Valvoline injector cleaner through the tank.
The only time any of your fluids REALLY matter are if you're tracking/drag racing the car. I just run basic stuff in my coupe because it only sees the street, but my brand loyalty has transferred over from what I've learned with the CRX.

Mine is a stock d16a6 and today I just found out my pass brake caliper is leaking, I think my trans is leaking (I think axle cup isn't in all the way), and I just checked my oil to see it was about 2 qts low.
No obvious oil leak - the car was sitting since 2006 though (had been rebuilt before parked) and I had done an oil change and seafoam treatment a couple of weeks ago.
Getting kind of frustrated. I'm supposed to take my car to get an exhaust Saturday but I find out my driver side axle is out of shape so the nut wont thread on, and I don't know if i have cam keys or a crank key so I can't put my ATI damper on.
Are the crank keys half moon shaped on one side or rectangular? Couldn't find anything in the service manual.
Also have to pull the dash back out so I can mount my clutch reservoir.
For you hydro converted guys, where did you mount it?

I run the 20/50 since oil temps get high at the track and this oil won't break down as fast. As long as I run a 1/4 quarter over with this stuff I have no issues with vtec cutting in and out.

Yeah, I'm going to grind away at the axle. Its not even the threads that are messed up.
As far as the tubing, did you guys get any special kind that won't break down with brake fluid?

Yes, I bought fancy braided line that was rated for brake fluid. I really can't remember as it was 3 years ago, but it's available.
Just remember to keep the reservoir higher than the master. worm clamps and braided line is fine for that line. You'll need about 6feet on a higher pressure line with fittings to run to the trans. pretty straight forward. Just putting my stuff together now too.
I wish I was better with electrical.. all the oem wiring inside is killing me, I probably dont even need half of it now that I have removed so much, just not sure whats what and where I would even start.. custom interior harness in the future!

what do most people do when they rebuild their harness? just cut and solder new wire in between plugs? or completely depin each wire and run a completely new wire?
I have the line to the slave already done. I was just wondering for the resv. I have two honda lines barbed together for the time being until I pick up some braided line for that.
It depends on the person. I was going to run entirely new wire, but I couldn't find the terminals I needed at the time. I have a full OBD1 harness from an EG in my hatch now. I took out everything unnecessary. Still looking to slim it down in the future though and wire in my switch panel.
Hotsauce, the easiest way to remove stuff you don't need it to start at the source of the plug. I.e start at the plug that goes into the AC, and work your way backwards, one wire at a time. I left in some of the wires to have a 12v supply when I did mine. FSM comes in handy. It's nothing hard. Just very tedious and sometimes frustrating.
