Did 1989 USDM civic 4 doors have door or pillar mounted seatbelts ?
Or did they start the door mounted seatbelts in 1990 ?

I know that 1989 CRX's had door mounted, but 1989 civic Si hatch had pillar mounted seatbelts.

88/89 sedans were on the pillar, 90/91 had the auto belts, the ones that choke you when you close the door automatically :p sedans never had belts mounted to the door directly like hatches/rexes

In your homeland of Canada you wouldnt have had the autobelts. It was a U.S. requirement that belts had to be either auto or door mounted.

If you think crx's are cool you'll be floored by a hatch

I had a buddy who had a 90 si hatch that he knew I wanted and he just up and sold it without consulting any of his buddies. I almost slapped him. I have a soft spot for all efs. I just had one that was more of a money put then others. And it happened to be a crx !!

EDIT: here's it is, the worst decision I made ever

Anyone else ever drive a new car, then switch to the EF and think to yourself, holy crap the dash is small on EF's! Im sitting in my hatch the other day and just noticed the dash seems TINY compared to my Accord, felt like it was intended for someone 4ft

On another note, what have people called your EF? I have gotten A Geo Metro "first date with now wife", The new Pacer "Drag racing" ......Sigh

I love my '08. Dash took a bit to get used to, but now I get how much easier it is on the eyes. Just wish it was an automatic.

I love getting out of my F-250 and hopping in the CRX. I feel like my *** is going to scrape. Haha

after i tub the inner fenders i might just have to move then forward to keep the tops of the tires from hitting the nuts holding them on when the car is layed out, but that would suck something awful since to move them i would have to weld up the old holes, grind it smooth and the sand the whole fender down to the metal so it can re rust uniform = a lot of work
