Oak tree is so cool. When I was there the worker was leaning over hard. First session I was real loose/hot through there. Almost lost it, drifted through it a bit. Had a nice save, etc. Next lap she gave me a thumbs up, leaning far over, and I thought I was going to take her arm off. Weirded out

Cool,

So brakes are bleed, when releasing pressure my rears lines dont "**** out" much fluid. It seems there is a little bit of air left in there. The pedal feels solid 1/3 way down, its been a while, is the pedal supposed to feel rock at first? I also adjusted the booster so the pedal engages as soon as its pressed.

Any hints on how to get them to be their best?

Long clear hoses off each bleeder, running up as high as you can.

Open all bleeders.

Slowly push over and over. Don't bottom out. Bad for seals on master.

Air goes up, fluid.stays down.

THE way to do it well and super fast.

Question- If you had access to a boat load of 88-91 Civics and CRX's "DX to Si" which parts would you pull off of them that might be rare/hard to find items. Need the list asap

Some I can think of

Floor mats
Hatch deck lid
CRX interior parts
CRX rear discs
?

people are starting to get stupid with their pricing also...$50 for used oem corner lights. really!?

I'm one of those people that have a wish list but are content with being completely stock…minus the engine of course. I'd try and get everything you can, no matter how minor…grab whole cars if you can and put them in storage units lol

Story-

Guy who did my paint work passed away while back in a car accident. He was racing "legal". He raced CRX's/Civics. He had a ton of cars for spare parts and also stock piled a bunch of stuff. Bad news is he wasnt organized. A friend of his is trying to sell the parts/cars since his wife will be moving. This could be interesting. And he will have oem + racing parts. 2 of the race cars are for sale, to bad I didnt have any extra room

That's the way I did mine last time and it works amazingly! Super stiff pedal and took half the time it normally does.

Thats tough, always hard when its someone you lost. Maybe if you can, to help his family/friends.. post pics and help them get the parts into good homes. I couldnt imagine what someone would do if I passed on and left all my stuff the way it is now.. you guys would have to come over!!

Well, an update - when last we left off my car had a 'mystery' leak - it was either oil or tranny fluid. My car was about 2 qts low on oil but it looked like the tranny fluid was leaking from the driver side axle where it meets the tranny getting on the cat and smoking up a bit.

Also my pass side brake caliper started to leak. Car had been sitting since 2006 originally so I figured the more I drove it some issues would present themselves.

Calipers, discs and pads replaced today - Autozone lifetime warranty on calipers and pads.

I drained the tranny into a pan and measured the fluid too see if it was low - nope - exact amount I put in, but was crazy dirty - so i changed it with a 1/3 honda tranny fluid and the rest Penzoil GM syncomesh tranny fluid.

Changed oil as well since my first oil change for the car was before I had it running and couldnt warm up the engine. So that oil was really dirty as well. Turns out the leak was oil pan gasket, so that is getting swapped today too.

I have to also change the shocks, the car came with NS race springs on tokico's and they are now very much blown - I plan to swap with Koni Sports.

Fun stuff reviving a car that has been sitting for sooo long.

Man, I don't even want to think about that. My family has no idea how much I've put into my EF. Only a few friends really know the value of what it's worth.

I once had a dream that I came home and they had sold off everything for stupidly cheap. I immediately woke up and checked to make sure it was all there. SCARY.

I got to see my finished exhaust though. Should be picking it up sometime this week.
