There was an Ultima GTR just like that one in my run group at CA Speedway. That thing was stupid fast. I was maxed out at 115mph on the main straight, and that guy blasted past me!

He must have been a total noob driver though. At the end of the day, he was only about 8 seconds faster than me. And I'm a noob! lol

That is awesome RedZC.. Everytime Im at the track I see little kids that are so enthused it makes me smile ear to ear. During nationals last year I watched a little kid disassemble the entire model car his parents just bought him in the bleachers. (I asked parents first) I snapped a couple pics without him knowing, he was so intense in his "job". made me think back to when I was a kid..

Even today at the dentist.. little 6 year old kid talking about all sorts of cars, blew me away.. He even had the smarts to know different models and had to correct his mom on the Audi models. He knew he wanted a Veyron, but said he would most likely end up in a Punch Buggy!

Keep running the 949's on the street...head down to vatozone or oreilly for some open ended steel lugs. Super cheap.

Same as nikhon said. Lots of fun, but weird with no elevation changes. And I was amazed at some of the corner cutting you could do. Lap times improved the last session because the racers knocked the cones out of the way...so we were all cutting the last corner before heading up on the oval and getting more speed that way. I guess you'll find out when you come to FF Battle next year!!!

Hi all, just discovered this thread after getting a bit bored with the local CR-X forums down here in Australia. Recently picked up an EF8 for track use and have been slowly getting it ready for it's first AutoX in late September with a track event shortly after.

At the moment the car is really rough, it looks like this:



I am only now discovering how much harder it is to get EF parts compared to my other newer Honda .

i went down the highway that morning thinking i was gonna get laughed out of the show cause my car has cheap BBS wheels and a few scrathches and stuff. but people dug the used and abused pile, and thats awesome.

it might have been the weirdest honda, but it wasnt a show car.
