what exactly do top hats compensate for anyway. Allow my shock travel?? so the bounce is not as harsh on the rebound??
Also after a long weekend my tech @ Greenlight told me I probably have a shitty ground since I relocated my battery to the back. So they said run another ground from the battery all the way to the front.
Anyone else had a problem like this or heard of this??
How many ground should you have in the engine bay area. The ground right now from the battery connects to the trunk wall.
I have direct wire ground in the engine bay
The tranny to chassi one and the vc to chassi one. They said there is no need for the vc to chassi one because it doesn't do much due to you have a rubber seal under the vc and the material of the vc and the fact that it painted.
I'm going to replace the tranny to chassi ground or atleast clean it up with a wire brush so if that does anything but where should I run the battery ground to?

Honda put a ground from the top of the engine to frame for a reason. Some have said its a ground to for the spark plugs. Who knows. If you do have one, at least have it installed correctly. Grounding the vc itself probably doesnt do much, instead attach the ground to one of the mounting studs for the vc. The stud screws directly into the head, so it makes more sense to me. Personally, I relocated my ground to the backside of the head, out of way and you cant see it. One thing is for certain, you cant go wrong with having an additional ground(s).
That said, i just sold 3 cans on craigslist to a guy in NC. Turned out the crx already had 134 in it. It was decent, but not FREEZING.
From a performance stand point, I know I didn't gain much, but right now I'm just driving it to and from work and trying not to spend any money on it.
Thank all you guys for the input on the civic and gti. Funny how all the responses came out 180 degrees opposite of the guys on vortex, everyone loved the 'euro' look on the civic with the 16's, lol.
Anyhow, I will be switching up wheels, but does anyone think the wheels would look better swapped back? IE 16's on the gti and the 15's on the civic.
Vega - Do you have any wheels you may want to trade for the 15" ET30'S?

All I'm saying is the ride with these springs isn't much different than stock. The best testimony for this is the fact that I had it lowered for several months before my wife noticed. The only reason she caught on one day was the extra effort it required to get out from a much lower stance than the Fit she is used to.

Yep, I found them used in two places for about $75 shipped when I was shopping. It was a better drop than I expected, but the front was a tad higher than the back so I cut half a coil off the front and it evened out nicely.
no there are no aftermarket direct bolt in seats for an ef...unless there was some special edition leather seats for a hatch in europe or japan(i think only oem leather was crx exclusive and edm crx's) that i dont know about

Would lowering springs be different for ITR suspension? I know the mounts for the rear struts are different since they mount inside the LCA instead of around it.

Lowering springs and sleeves? No. I simply want springs for a '94-01 integra. But IIRC DC2/EG springs are different than EF. Not sure about compatability unless someone wants to drop some knowledge.
why itr suspension? stiffer spring rate and higher length in springs? just out of curiosity.

From the limited research I've done on the wagons, yes...longer length in shock and spring. The ED crx/civic suspensions will dump it. And...since it's an '88 and I have the ITR style lca's, I may as well pick up full ITR suspension with front forks for $100 from N1. Throw some sleeves or lowering springs on there with the 'better' dampened ITR shocks and it'll bring it back to stock + another 1" drop and I'm good.
