what suspension are you guys running cuz i just put skunk2 sleeves on my car and the rears are up in the air and the front is tucking tire. AND i took it for a test ride and it literally bounces me out of the seat. so i need to know what you guys are running please. im wanting to go slammed cuz thats my style! so any input is needed. thanx.
that's not true at all, to convert a system from R-12 to R-134A is relatively simple and not at all expensive but must be performed with an a/c machine that shops only usually carry. All of the refrigerant must be drained from the system and then the R-12 fittings must be replaced with R-134A fittings. Its that simple. Don't miss inform
$50 Sprint Springs
His screen name says it all.
Miss inform? U do know that r12 and 134 are NOT compatible? Simply bleeding the system of r12 is not going to get it all out. U at least want to change the drier and the part under the dash if not the compressor also. Then just get those fitting conversions. It is not as simple as u make it out to be.

The rate is pretty good, it was a little rough until i upgraded to the tophats, now i dont feel the bumps in the road as much.
pic selects 10kf 12kr
they ride awesome(not some bs slammed ride height-nice and functional)...are plenty stiff for now.
sometime in the future i will buy upgrading to a damper with more adjustability though

Sure, it works....but for how long? If you want to do it right, so it lasts, you need to change out the components. Simple as that.

Stefn likes it stiff...
...errr, crap. I run the same spring rates on my Omni's
Which are for sale by the way. $350 takes em! My koni's are 11k front and rear.
Those rates are on race cars though, right? Not daily drivers? Whats a good rate for a DD, thats only a bit stiffer than stock, so it doesnt bottom out on every bump, but that wont be bouncy or takes bumps hard as hell?
i have 450f 350r and it bottoms out on bigger bumps. i also scrape mudflaps when i turn sharply. with a passenger, i scrape most bumps. with 2 in back 1 passenger in front i scrape uneveness on the road. im not that low either, fronts are all the way up, 2 finger gap
i run the same setup but my spring rate is 425/550? Also, for the person who installed the skunk 2's u might of put the fronts on the rear and the rears on the front.... I heard of the same thing happeneing in the past.
I run 600f/550r on a Koni/GC setup on my daily driver CRX.
I had 400f/325r for about a week recently and I couldn't stand it. It rubbed on every bump I hit and it was bouncy as heck.

There's a fine line with spring rates and the dampeners you run. Pairing them correctly is key.
Off the shelf Koni's are superb and AGX's aren't bad. Illuminas blow, literally. I'm yet to meet a person who has had Illuminas that weren't blown after a couple years. I Have them on my white CRX and hate them.
Any time you run lowering springs with stock shocks you're asking for sh*tty ride quality.
The smoothest riding '88-91 Civic/CRX I've driven is my RT4wd wagovan...cause it's sky high

I haven't put much money into it since I really only drive it 12-13 miles to and from work.

I believe you, but have you ever owned a nice quality spring/shock combo with good dampening? I used to say my gr2's and pro-kit rode nicely....I can't say that now.
