Miss inform? U do know that r12 and 134 are NOT compatible? Simply bleeding the system of r12 is not going to get it all out. U at least want to change the drier and the part under the dash if not the compressor also. Then just get those fitting conversions. It is not as simple as u make it out to be.

I know they are not campatible thats why all the r12 is removed from the system before the r-134a is put in, I have seen it done a bunch of times before and it works, im not gonna argue so im done on this subject.

Sure, it works....but for how long? If you want to do it right, so it lasts, you need to change out the components. Simple as that.

Those rates are on race cars though, right? Not daily drivers? Whats a good rate for a DD, thats only a bit stiffer than stock, so it doesnt bottom out on every bump, but that wont be bouncy or takes bumps hard as hell?

I'm running Koni/GC, tophats front and rear 450r/500f and mine is firm yet compliant. Not bone breaking stiff, and def not bouncey.

I run 600f/550r on a Koni/GC setup on my daily driver CRX.

I had 400f/325r for about a week recently and I couldn't stand it. It rubbed on every bump I hit and it was bouncy as heck.

There's a fine line with spring rates and the dampeners you run. Pairing them correctly is key.

Off the shelf Koni's are superb and AGX's aren't bad. Illuminas blow, literally. I'm yet to meet a person who has had Illuminas that weren't blown after a couple years. I Have them on my white CRX and hate them.

Any time you run lowering springs with stock shocks you're asking for sh*tty ride quality.

The smoothest riding '88-91 Civic/CRX I've driven is my RT4wd wagovan...cause it's sky high

My Sprint springs ride great with stock shocks, but I also have 55 series tires. For the most part, I don't notice it being lowered when driving except on larger bumps.

I haven't put much money into it since I really only drive it 12-13 miles to and from work.

I believe you, but have you ever owned a nice quality spring/shock combo with good dampening? I used to say my gr2's and pro-kit rode nicely....I can't say that now.
