Yeah same here. When mine went out I just did a quick brain storm on how to avoid it happening again. It more piece of mind for me then anything.
If your engine is original, its on the back of the block, next to the oil filter, its green, usually has a big black boot covering it, and it has 2 wires.
If you have a 92+ sohc, its on the T stat housing, brown in color I believe, and has 2 wires.
I havent had a fan switch go bad on me yet.
It shouldn't cause problems being always on except in the winter with it not getting up to temp. It's just not the right way to fix the problem. Assuming u have a swapped car, the fan switch is on the thermostat housing.

Am I the only person that didn't realize the rt4wd wagovans had 6 speed transmissions (1-"super low" gear)??? Pics of the new daily to come after tomorrow

You can also do EF Si lip, but it's too short...

or the VW lip if you like the big lip look...

I was looking at custom plates for the wagovan and thought since I'm rocking the super RAPs on there I'd call it the RAPOVAN...
...then I realized it looks REALLY bad
