The Official EF Discussion Thread
Yes, but i believe only the newer engines have it. Mine is a stock d16a6 and if i recall, when i rebuilt the engine, this doesn't work on my car because the valve isn't accessable. If i remember correctly, the rear has two ports on it, one open and the other with a screen mesh on it.
Btw, nice numbers and what is ursetup?
FITV or IACV I believe, this doesn't work on mine, i'll grab one and take a pic if i have one available.

this is it on the back of the intake manifold.
Supposidly the BG induction service is just like seafoam/cheveron with techron additive and GM top engine cleaner. I'll have to try that out and see what happens.

oh nevermind i just seen u said stock a6

Yeah, fast idle is on the left of the pic, it doesn't do anything unless its freezing outside, literally. So its got to be the IACV which is basically the same thing as the fitv on newer engines, opperates the same anyways. You can't open them up so i'm going to have to clean out the ports on a spare one and try plugging it in and see what happens.
VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT
So I have been talking a guy locally about come carbon kevlar lips.
As everyone knows I have the 88-89 civic spec J's Racing lip.
I plan on making that lip into carbon kevlar for myself. Now I'm checking to see if anyone else would interested in this as well. Currently right now there is NO ONE that makes a replica of this lip. From J's Racing or Chargespeed it retails $360.00. Thats not including tax or shipping to your house (if needed). Now the question is this how much are YOU willing to pay for an item like this. I already have a price for how everything is going to cost me I'm just trying to spread the love. If what people are willing to pay meets or beats the price of quote I was given then I'll start a mass production. Not to large but maybe around 100 or lips. I know the economy is down right now but some people out there still have a little bit of money. I'm not trying to rape anyone. As this is a business oppurtunity for myself as well as a great chance for other to enjoy new cosmetic parts for thier car that have not been done yet. I'll be making a thread to gauge interest as well as start a list. The turn around time on the mold being made will be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks at the most. Each lip will take 2 days. I have a hook up on shipping through my job. So shipping anywhere will be no more then $100, just so you can factor that in. I plan on making mine from a carbon kevlar hybrid. I'm sure I can do other option as carbon fiber. This is just a filler. If this guy is good I may look into making a mold from my Mugen aero cover...

I thought about that. But then you have to pay for the mold. So the best gues son that would be contacting ViS because they already have a carbon fiber one. I was planning on doing that.
New little tidbit about paypal's payment policies. Take special note to the part about recieving personal payments on a premier account.
Thank you for contacting PayPal, my name is Mark and I am happy to
assist you today.
We have recently updated our fees structure. There are now two different
types of payments that can be sent using PayPal - Purchase Payments and
Personal Payments. Let me explain these new payment types a bit further.
Purchase Payments (Commercial Payments): These are the payments we
traditionally have always offered, where there is a commercial
relationship between the sender and the recipient of funds. For example,
a person pays for a purchase of an item on eBay.
Personal Payments: These payments are designed as payments between
individuals for no commercial reasons, i.e. made for the purpose of
either your personal, family and/or household affairs. For example, a
person living in the US is sending money to his brother to buy their
parents a gift.
When using the 'Send Money' tab, customers will be presented with the
two different options to send either a Purchase payment or a Personal
payment.
As a result of the introduction of this new payment revamp, our fee
structure has changed to accommodate these two new payment types.
Fees for Personal Payments are now charged as follows:
Payment funded with PayPal balance or bank account: PayPal will not
charge sender or recipient regardless of their account type
Payment funded with a debit or credit card: PayPal will apply the 2.9%
plus $0.30 for the receiving fees. Therefore, Personal account holders
may incur PayPal receiving fees. Please note however that the sender has
the option of paying the fees for that payment instead of the recipient.
For Purchases/Commercial Payments there will be fees applied whenever
you received a payment. The recipient of funds will always be charged
the normal receiving fees (or merchant rates for approved merchants
reaching the minimum volumes) which is 2.9% plus $0.30.
Thank you for being part of the PayPal community.
