Oka im going to be running my car this weekend for the first time.Ive never dragged race so im a bit nervous.Car is 91 civic si with vitara z6 on 15psi 250hp 220tq.Rolling on ssr type c rims 16x7.5 +42 with new style azenis.Im excited but also extremely nervous so any wisdom on what to expect or bring would be appreciated

 

close the sunroof and windows. wear a helmet. try to preload your suspension on the line Go on yellow, not green.oh, and I always had better times without doing a warm up on the tires, but I wasn't using azenis...

Times have nothing to do when you launch. you can wait 3 seconds after it turns green, the timer doenst start till you cross that line. Advise for a turbo car, go easy on it at first, I found when i was all pumped up and just dropped the hammer, the car would wheel spin. Control it out of the box and when you hook up 3rd then unleash hell.

 

Don't side step it! haha I did that the first time I ran... lol

 

Just go one run at a time... first run.. just make sure you dont make an *** out of yourself (if you care) dont stall out, dont worry about the time. After the first run youll have your nerves a little calmer... youll get the hang of it from there.. but as said, Just have fun. Live and learn man..
